Games, films, books, television, or music?

    Pick one.

For me it has to be music, unequivocally. I always want to listen to good music, I can't say that for the other mediums mentioned.

I think I jumped the gun a little bit as I assume FAN wanted to know which medium we preferred from his selection.

    TV

I could live without all of those things if I absolutely had to, but I'd definitely miss TV the most

Music. That's usually the main reason I play certain games, too.

TV or music. TV is more comforting, but music is probably more evocative. Can't decide which is more important really.
  • Deleted user 23 May 2009 23:00:37
Don't watch TV. Don't listen to music half as much as I used to due to constant ear infection. Like my films but not exactly devoted. Love to read but never have the time with Uni (last thing I feel like doing is picking up another book at times) so from that list it will have to be games.

If I had to pick one from the OP then probably TV but in the grand scheme of things it's not really that important to me.

    Newcastle going down.

    Happy?

But aside from that, music. Unequivocally.

I love music, but books would be my pick. I'd be merely unhappy without music, if I could never read a book again, I'd probably top myself.

Yeah, music is all around you. It's makes so many things.

Imagine going to a club with no music!

Of course games would be way up there too!

Could probably do with out film and books. Haven't read a book in 2 years. The year before that I read a new one every few weeks though.

If you lived in Britain without tv though I'd bet you would miss it.

I think I could live without games the easiest. It's almost too easy to dismiss TV considering the vast amounts of crap on it, but that would be unwise as there's a lot of worthwhile stuff too. Life without music would be pretty damn miserable. Books are a fundamental part of a person's development, if only during childhood. And a good film can make you feel great.

This is too hard a choice. Though I think games would definitely be the first to go in a cull.

It's definitely way too hard a choice, but maybe the Internet could replace TV, at least for me. Games would also be the first to go. Movies if I had to get rid of, I would chose to slash before music or books.

Music or books though. Hmmmm. A world without music? And yet, one without books?

I think I would somehow, someway be able to make it without music, in much the same way I'm guessing deaf people don't sweat it too much. So I guess if I was to be shot if I didn't choose, books. They're too indispensible and valuable.

Books. In terms of energy and material investment per hour of fun, they win hands down.

Hmm, what a tough selection. It's like being asked which one of your four beloved children doesn't get tossed to the wolves. But I'm gonna go with books. It's ironic, because I don't get much opportunity to read any more, but that was my first love. I think books can easily replace movies, and to some extent, games, but music is a tough one. I kinda need that... Okay, last minute reversal here. Music.

I left out the internet because of the catch-all nature of it. You can read a book on the net, you can obviously play games on it, watch films, television shows and other such videos, listen to (and watch) music etc.

Music, without a doubt. Then books, TV, films, games.

Music is so far in front in terms of importance it's not true, and then the increments between the rest are negligable. Books get first billing for my post-work wind-down, but TV vs films vs games depends entirely on the moment.

    Nppls

Thought I'd leave that nice typo in :) I touch type and my right hand started off one key too far to the right. Nppls are what's most important to me.

Although actually I was trying to type books. Not a hard choice for me at all.

Followed by films and TV in joint second place, then music, then games.
