Man claims to be 'dead' African singer

Using a loudspeaker, he told fans that he was not dead - but had disappeared after he became a victim of witchcraft.

He says he was kept in a cave by zombies for two years, forced to sing and had to eat mud to stay alive.

    Just like Jesus.

When you have listened to for the first time Stefansen Theory, you had something new in your hands. Something revolutionary in the world of music. A guy who know anything about music, experiencing new genres in his own way.

An 80-year-old woman murdered in her isolated Perthshire cottage failed to turn up for a doctor's appointment the day she was found dead, police say.

Reminds me of the 'DIANA WAS ALIVE HOURS BEFORE SHE DIED' headline from the Express.

EDIT: After a bit of searching for it, it appears to be from Private Eye. Heh. Sad thing is you wouldn't put it past the Express et al to use it.

    Dead whale brings tourism boost

A council spokeswoman said the car park takings could not be fully put down the whale, but said the corpse "certainly played its part" in attracting visitors.

"We were chock-a-block," she said. "It was like a summer's day.

"Takings were double what they normally are during the winter months. People had definitely come to see the whale."

Mrs Rudd said businesses throughout the town saw trade increase as curious visitors travelled to see the unusual attraction first hand.

She said. "I would like a whale to come every year."

Actually, this one really belongs in this thread

How do cats survive falls from great heights?.

I would particularly like to draw your attention to the excellent photo-illustration work done by the BBC in the first picture. Top work.

"Spanish fresco restoration botched by amateur"

"An elderly parishioner has stunned Spanish cultural officials with an alarming and unauthorised attempt to restore a prized Jesus Christ fresco.
The once-dignified portrait now resembles a crayon sketch of a very hairy monkey in an ill-fitting tunic, he says.
"If we can't fix it, we will probably cover the wall with a photo of the painting." "

Isn't that the plot of the Mr Bean movie?

My thoughts on why the Bioshock franchise needs to cut back the shooting.

I wonder if the BBC just employ someone to read Reddit all day and rehash suitable stories.

The final paragraph made me lol:

Our correspondent says that to make matters worse, the local centre that works to preserve artworks had just received a donation from the painter's granddaughter which they had planned to use to restore the original fresco.
