No, say the Navy is full of gayers. I thought we'd moved on.

/def didn't do the "Hello Sailor" to a Pompey fan the other week.

It was an attempt at addressing the recent issue of Obama refusing to change the "don't ask, don't tell" policy in the military forces. If you must ruin it.

Fruitlol. Reckon you'd fit right in with the Navy.

LB, you really are a massive geek.

RAF wouldn't have me when I wanted to join because of their stupid old rule about women not being fighter pilots, so they sure as hell can't have me now!

Why would you join the military force for a country which doesn't seem to want to use them for anything worthwhile, or even sometimes legal?

    Edit:

I'm half cut and that was a poorly-judged post.

Still, JMM's was a fucking ridiculous thing to have 'said' in the first place.

Daisy, why can't women be fighter pilots? Have they been shown not to withstand the Gs or something? Or do the uniforms not fit? :-/

Why couldn't they before? Simple sexism, or was there any kind of presumed reason?

Are you saying that no-one in the Navy or RAF can use grammar correctly?

I thought it was a logical conclusion to the past half decade, and probably beyond tbh.

The last war I can think of that Britain was involved in which was worthwhile, or moral if you like, was WWII.

Then again, I'm not much of a history buff so maybe I'm wrong.

Also, don't get me wrong, I have nothing against soldiers or military personnel at all, it's the order's they're receiving, and so have to follow, which are the problem.

Fine I'll stick with the past 5 years then :p

Also, Afghanistan was really badly handled for the most part, I wouldn't use that as an example of the army being used well.

I rather fancy the RAF. Been keeping myself in tip-top condition as I would love to be a pilot. I've only got another few months before I'm over 23 though and not eligible. My alternative option is that of Intel Officer. Would just be worried that I'd be pretty old when joining up in comparison to 17/18 year olds fresh from college.
