Expect this has been posted before but anyway, I have a bloke sitting near me, despite generally being fairly fashionable most of the time, that when wearing long sleeve shirts often wears his neck button at the top done up. Is it just me or does this look completely retarded and chavy? Is he trying to look formal without wearing a tie? I always have a little chuckle to myself when I see it on him or others, have done since I can remember. Iíve never really understood why they even stick top buttons on any other shirts other than formal shirts (for a tie). Guess its a hundred years or so of tradition etc?

With no tie - top button should be left undone.
    Anything else looks odd.

Button down collars should be banned.

Collar style should be Windsor. See TM Lewin -> http://www.tmlewin.co.uk/product.aspx/MenShirtsWindsorSemiFitted!20941

This also goes along with my theory that school uniforms have a uniform within a uniform anyway, so whats the fucking point?

    Standardisation my arse.

Err yea, think its more chav than Godbod but this guy bucks the trend although Iíve been thinking about his fashion sense more and am coming to the conclusion he is more of a chav than I first thought. I think he dresses too young for his age too.

The done up top button was big in the eighties. It looked shit then too. It looks like you have never worn a shirt before and at best makes you look like a nerd on his first night out. Chavtastic.

I would never trust a person who buttons the top button in their shirt while not wearing a Tie. It's a clear sign of slight retardation and a lack of moral fiber.

I judge people based on their appearance.

Its not a great character trait, but I really do look down on some people.

TM Lewin makes overpriced shirts for fat people who believe thick material will disguise their moobs. Get yourself to Hawes and Curtis mate, they do overpriced shirts for people who fancy themselves and weigh themselves once a day, but only after the morning poo and before the morning smoothie.

    /not sure argument is convincing
