Registered 8 years agoGames designed for the DSi could potentially be region locked but there aren't any yet.if you have nothing intresting to say then you might as well just throw your bags on the truck and drive away

Registered 9 years agoBit of a bump, I have a few DS games that I bought in Australia, so they are not PAL iirc, I gave my DS lite to the gf but am thinking of a DSi, will the UK DSi run them? In other words it is region free right? -
Carts are region free.
Australia is PAL anyway though. -
All DS games are region free and always will be and play on any DS or DSi. Downloadable DSi games are region locked, like WiiWare, and not yet released retail DSi only games are said to be region locked, but nobody can say for sure until one is released.

Registered 7 years agoMay I ask a stupid question: If I buy an American DSi it seems I can play UK carts, but how do I buy US DSi store games (I don't have a credit card by the way)?
I've turned off all the avatars and crap, so don't expect me to be impressed by yours.

Check ebay - there will probably be people selling Nintendo point card codes. Expect to be charged out the arse for them, though.

Also watch out - UK DSi-enhanced or DSi-only cards will not work in a US machine. -
