I think sneaky Sony has a suprise for us in store this E3.
All the money into advertising/promoting kz2 must be somewhere right?

Besides, the ending of kz2 has Killzone 3 written all over it.

Might be announced, but I wouldn't hold your breath over seeing it in the next 3 years.

Killzone 3 already. I very much doubt it.

Well... given how long it was from announcement to release of Killzone 2, who knows!

    \o/
  • Deleted user 30 April 2009 22:26:31
I'd say it's much more likely to be revealed next year for release in 2011. They'll definitely want to turn round a sequel relatively quickly just to extract maximum return on the investment they've made in the engine.

imo Halo3 is pure ( demographically ) typically american, hence it has done so well.

Can you really compare them because of the diverging markets?

/wonders if what i said makes any sense.

    DaemonB, Ugly's trolling (as usual)

    Killzone 2 was average.

Personally I'd rather they kept it as it is, the ending at least elevated it beyond a post processing effects display. :p

KZ2s sold nearly 1.5 million without a JP release yet! that's easily enough interest to warrent another installment. Not to mention that it's looking very healthy on the online players front

Let's turn this thread into something useful. Like a betting thread. Who is going to announce what? Duke nukem forever? Halo 4? Resistance 3? Halflife 3? Maybe nintendo will do something other than talk about sales? Who knows?

Maybe they'll go to Gear of War sequel route and do the same game again?

Doubt it. Too soon. DLC ala GTA4 might be possible though.

I think Guerilla would like to extend a middle finger to us all :p

Altough, without such harsh criticism for the original game, I don't think Killzone 2 would'ave been half as good. I know I didn't enjoy Killzone and I know I quite liked Killzone 2. There we go.

Maybe they will announce that all 360 owers are to be baned from Killzone 2 threads?

    One can dream :(

Half the PS3 owners on this site wouldn't be allowed in the thread. :D

It works much the same in reverse... as any Halo fan will tell you. :)

See it as a Killzone 2 part 2. Peter Jackson did LOTR in 3, so it shouldn't be that hard.
