Olympic themed one this week. Answer may be a sport, or may be something related, like torch, or medal.

Is it one's foot that is the problem? (7)

    _ _ _ L _ _ _

The only sport I can see that fits is Cycling (Sailing is already an answer elsewhere), but I can't make it work.

The answers are out, and Vortex was indeed correct!

    Two new ones to ponder...

    Greener housekeeper (7)

    _ _ E _ _ _ _

Quiet! Ring round! End desperately intrusive investigation (6)

Don't have any letters for this, but to fit with everything else and make a word, third letter has to be either E or Y.

Three for you this week. It's part of an acrostic, and I haven't figured out the spine word yet, so no letters to help (yet).

River (from top of Everest) (5) (4th letter)

Keep stripes redrawn (7) (4th letter)

Seen, heard and positioned (5) (3rd letter)

The spine word/phrase thus far is...

    A U T U M N _ I _ _

And the three clues above fit the remaining gaps, in order. I've mentioned above, which letter of the answer fits into the word / phrase.

Seen heard & positioned = sited?
I reckon the second is an anagram of stripes, but my brain fails me.

    Edit: Keep stripes= persist?

4th letter of River '(from the top of Everest)' is presumably M.

I always give you the dregs of the puzzle that I can't solve, which is a bit unfair.
So this week, you get the whole puzzle.

Reading down, the spaces indicated by question marks will give a word or phrase.

    Support part of body (4) _ _ ? _

    She began jumping over stiles in excitement (5) _ ? _ _ _

    Pastime for pheasant, perhaps? (4) _ _ ? _

    Gap discovered in British opinion (4) _ _ _ ?

    Baker has gone out for a respite (5) _ _ ? _ _

    Encourage a wager (4) _ _ _ ?

    Steam a mixture of foods (5) _ ? _ _ _

    The pit belongs to me (4) _ _ ? _

    North? It is cold, but pleasant. (4) _ _ ? _

    South? West? East? The vessel is from North Europe (7) _ _ ? _ _ _ _

If anyone was looking at this one, I've got all but the first and the last.

    Support part of body (4) _ _ C _

    South? West? East? The vessel is from North Europe (7) _ _ ? _ _ _ _

Question mark is either an E or a Y.

    Lol.

BACK (backing something = supporting, the spine supports the body, and part of the body is obvious)

Not sure about the second one mind.

SWEDISH? I have no idea why I think that though.

EDIT: Wait, a dish is a vessel is it not? Sweden is a Northern European country staring with SWE. Maybe.

North Europe usually ends up meaning an N at the end, I'm guessing Ship or Boat might be in there somewhere?
