Such a good deal I thought it warranted its own thread.

Go buy it, those morons who haven't already.
  • Deleted user 24 April 2009 23:20:44
Bloody hell, that's the best bargain I've seen in a while.

And I thought paying 25 for it was a bargain. Even Portal on its own would be more than worth that price.

Nice, bloody fantastic price, even to those not normally interested in HL.

Is there a general thread for Steam-tastic-bargains otherwise?

They inevitably get plastered in the Bargains thread every Friday.

I haven't bought a game for two weeks now...

Ta for the heads up. Bought it. Already played HL2 thanks to a forumite. Anyway, it now means I have a spare copy of HL2 (totally free) going on steam if anyone wants it.

What don't you like about it? When it first came out I didnt like it, and it still has a few draw backs. But generally I think it's a pretty great service now.

I just don't like the DRM stuff, and having to have it installed on my PC, which is running well now that I have avoided using any Steam or Securom game :(

There's really no reason at all why you shouldn't buy this.

PSN: Glendemic Xbox: Gl3n Steam: Gl3n

Is double agent worth a go? I loved the original, but the few sequels I played failed to recapture its greatness.
  • Deleted user 31 May 2009 10:01:44
Couldn't get into it on the 360 myself.

Absolutely loved it. By far my favourite SC game. And definitely worth a 5er

Double Agent and Chaos Theory are both really excellent games; Pandora Tomorrow is the sole clanger in the series IMO, and even though the original *was* flawed I'll forgive it as it was the first.

The director's cut is only a tenner now anyway, isn't it? And I think the xbox one can be bought for about 8 quid

    I'm a grumpy bastard.
