I got this on Thu to entertain me over easter and I think its bloody ace.

Sure it gets repetitive but the graphics and soundtrack are simply brilliant. Sam L Jacksons voice overs have me in stitches "Dam that F*****g bitch put both the asses in Assassin".

I dont understand why it got such a nut kicking in all its reviews so far.

I loved that cutscene where Afros dad (whos supposed to be badass) gets beheaded by devastator in one single move and his head bounces towards young Afro.

"Come back child when your ready to challenge a god"

    Awesome best cutscene ever!

You know this is an animé right? You should go rent it, if you like that cut scene. Although, it may spoil the game for you if it follows the story of the animated series (sounds like it does).

Can you turn the speech off does anyone know? I can wait till the kids go to bed for the visual stuff but I'd rather not have all the cussing ringing out as a chop people up :)

Seems a real missed opp. to have no co-op in this no?

    FCUTA!

You have to laugh when that rocket ninja blasts off with Afro and Samuel L Jackson after a long pause goes.

"What the Fuck" (looks at screen) "tell me you see that shit too".

It is a most fine game for turning your brain off and just enjoying the ride.

The developers chose not to include a co-op because they didn't think it would fit in with the story of revenge.

I will be getting this in the next week or so.

I played and finished this over Easter and absolutely loved it - I actually enjoyed it more than the anime on which it is based. The ending is considerably different to the anime, with Ninja Ninja even commenting that you think you know what is going to happen but this "ain't no f*cking TV show".

It definitely deserved more praise than it received - the soundtrack is incredible too.

Defo an awesome single player game. So much style (graphics/soundtrack).

Picked this up yesterday and it is a pretty sweet hack n slash.

Only done the first level so far but I am liking the style.

I rented and really enjoyed it up until shadow Afro. When I had to read up on how to defeat him it mostly involved getting moves by collected some stuff I hadn't bothered with in the previous levels. I couldn't be bothered to do it all again in the time I had left.

You cannot stop me with paramecium alone!

    Shadow Afro was tough

I did not even get that far. I reached a bit where you had to throw enemies into exploding barrels to get through a wall only I ran out of enemies to throw and it became impossible to progress. That is pretty terrible game design and the shadow Afro bit sounds as bad.

It's a shame as I thought the games production values were great and I was enjoying the story but a game that allows you to get to a bit where it is no longer possible to progress is not a game I am going to spend much time on.

Sam L Jacksons dialog was great though. I really liked some guy yelling "you killed my son" at Afro and Ninja Ninja answer with "shit that don't help this guys killed a lot of mother fuckers"

Sorry but some of Sam Jacksons voice over stuff had me in stitches.

This game must have the record for swear words in a game tho. Every 5 secs Sam Jackson is like mother fucker, mother fucker,

Funniest bit is when Shadow Afro takes off and Ninja Ninja does a double take looks at screen/you and goes "WHAT THE FUCK , YOU SEE THAT SHIT TOO RIGHT"

Its the way the lines delivered that makes it funny.

Played the first level in Afro Samurai but it's virtually unplayable for me due to the camera. Push the right analog stick to the left and the camera rotates to the right. UGH. I looked in the options but couldn't find anything to invert the camera.

Due to the low camera angle, the camera requires constant babysitting to keep enemies onscreen. I was continually running into stuff and getting whacked by enemies, with me spinning the camera around all over the place in the wrong direction all the time.

Someone tell me the devs haven't made the monumentally idiotic decision of not including an invert option whatsoever?? Good GOD, talk about an oversight...

I don't remember the camera being a problem at all when I played this to be honest. I had plenty of other problems with it but the camera does not stick in my memory as being bad.

Sorry that is not much help

A mate of mine at work swears by this game. May have to borrow it despite evidence to the contrary

Apparently the option to invert the camera was introduced in a patch. I connected to XBL to get it and can now play without the annoyance of continually turning in the wrong direction. Hurrah.

Looks very nice in places. Seems a bit too much of a button masher though - the generic enemies pose no threat whatsoever.

I feel I have to vent my anger at about this utterly utterly utterly shite game, how the fuck some of you people can claim this game is 'ace' and cut scenes are 'hilarious' is beyond me. The game is devoid of any kind of fun.

The camerais a fucking shambles, you get the same shitty characters spawning over and over and over again, when you need directions off samuel jackson he tells you to fuck off, theres about three fucking combat moves, the climbing is fucked, the level design is fucked, the whole fucking game is an absolute piece of fucking shite

    Trials Evolution
