he has a weird shaped head which makes me cringe every time he tries to grow his hair long. Plus he is a twat.

And he is a big twat on that Argumental thing.

    He totally called it

Well the only problem with Brigstock is that he suffers from generic British political comedian's über-sarcasm and über-cynicism. I think he's pretty funny and when he gets angry he's really quite good. But in general we don't do Bill Hicks or John Stewart in this country.

    say no to Eurogamer sigs

Brigstock /can/ be funny when he's not just being a judgemental twat, but he seems to be getting less funny and more judgemental as the years wind on.

    Chris Morriss ftw, though.

Look for Brigstock's live Apollo bit on Youtube. Can't link it here due to workNaziblockade, but it's brilliant.

LB, you really are a massive geek.

For the benefit of those following the thread who have no idea what's going on:
    Brigstoke,
    Morris.

Now everyone is up to speed, you have to dislike one of them.

I think is his biggest problem is the fact that he says 'i'll do it!' as soon as he picks the phone up, which dilutes everything he says.

Also the conclusion Bill Bailey came to and stopped doing panel shows as a result.

My opinion of him has been largely formulated by the vast array of shit he has appeared in.

    Like that crappy sitcom.

That Day Today clip is awesome. Never seen that. Love the way the camera slowly pains in on her face at the end, hehe.

I can see what people mean. How about some more of each since I derailed the thread?
    Marcus,
    Chris.

Ugh, please stop linking to Brigstocke it's actually making me cringe listening to such sub-par humour and overinflated opinions rolled into one annoying voice.

Brooker also did TV Go Home and Unovations. The former site is still up (go google it or guess it) and it's still funny.

Brilliant stuff, Brooker should have a show for every asset of the media.

Anyone know what the title music to Newswipe was? He pretty much always uses licensed music so I doubt this was anything original...

The title music was horrific. I was expecting there to be a big fart noise at the end of it, it was that weird and cheesy.

Ah yeah, Thom Yorke used it in one of his Scotch Mist DJ mixes, I knew I had heard it somewhere before, thanks.

also, never did like the poetry guy either...but his one last night was probably his best so far

the NW team seem to love him though...as said earlier i'd rather they filled in the time with CB ranting on the sofa

Quality is a little choppy, and I want it on my hard drive permanently so I can watch it whenever. :)

Only thing I didn't like about the show was that female presenter who did the segment about re-branding the recession. She came across as one of those young presenters who is really trying to hard to be noticed and loved, exactly the kind of person I wouldn't expect to see on a show by Brooker... or maybe that was the point?

It really is. Does he actually make a living out of that self-conscious twaddle?

He's a stand up comedian who uses the poetry thing as part of his act, but he does standard stand up as well.

But it all follows the same 'awkward world awareness' type thing.
