BBC 2, 10pm tonight. First of six.

It's about time the beeb funded some comedy that wasn't made by teenagers. And while they're for once being sensible they should put some money Simon Munnery's way and give him a bloody show considering he's the funniest man alive ever. ever. Anyway, it's on tonight. Watch it if you want.

I didn't recognise him in the trailer, looks like he's been on the Dominic Diamond diet.

Simon Munnery had a show on the beeb a few years back called 'Attention Scum.'

Funnily enough, Stewart Lee directed it.

Got the typical BBC Seinfeld treatment in the schedules though.

Looking forward to giving Lee's new show a good Iplayering later.

I think there's a new-ish dvd of Munnery out. There's also a great youtube moment of him doing his Sherlock Holmes monologue in the back of a pub. I'll try find both if i've got a moment.

Stewart Lee is great, second only to Richard Herring. They should give Herring a series too...and then let them do another series together. Remember, there'll always be milk.

I saw Richard Herring last night and it was amazing. He even hung around afterwards to sign stuff for people, nice chap. He's on a national tour at the moment, go and see him if you can.

Can't wait to see this tonight. Stewart Lee is probably the most underrated comedians in the world.

Richard and Stu are geniuses, I was at college with them both and they did amazing stand-up even back then. Really looking forward to this. They've collectively been responsible for most of the best comedy in the UK in the last 20 years. Yeah I'll stand by that outrageously inflated claim. :p

Why is Herring hanging around with Andrew Collins?

I still listen to the podcast, but collins really detracts from the entertainment value.

I lurk. If I've spoken to you, I'm either impassioned, or drunk.

Don't they both do quite a lot of work at 'script consultants'?

Anyway thanks for the reminder, I shall definitely watch this. This sort of program reaffirms my faith in BBC comedy. A bit like when they showed Time Trumpet a few years ago.

Seen both Herring and Lee a few times recently (unfortunately not together), both giving fantastic performances. Looking forward to the new series tonight.

Good tip, I'll be recording this.

Used to love Fist of Fun, me and my mates got mentioned a few times for writing in to the radio show and I went to TV Centre to be in the audience when they were recording the second series for telly.

I was watching a fist of fun the other day. Richard's sitting down doing a piece to camera about stalking. Mr Lee sits down next to him and just lights up a fag. Not for comic effect or any reason. times have changed, pc-madness gone mad, queen mum etc...
