That film will be a real balancing act getting all the characters a half decent bit of screentime, but certainly count me very enthusiastic - if anything, Whedon tends to be quite good at making sure all characters get at least one good line.

I'd kick the living daylights out of the producers of Tipping Point - Ghandi

If it doesn't copy the Ultimates first few issues I'll eat my hat.

The Hulk attacks New York. It's pretty good.

That's not the one where Captain America goes AWOL, is it? I don't remember much, and I always get my universes mixed up.

I'll tag that just in case it is, and just in case figgis is right.

EDIT: Answered as I posted. Bastarding slow typing that I do!

Isn't it the one with Nazi aliens and a whole heap of crappy pop culture references?

Yeah it's looking more and more Ultimates I think, Ed Norton not signing on? Meaning just having Hulk CGI the whole time? So just him on the rampage? Plus Sam Jackson as Nick Fury obviously, and just the whole modern take that the Ultimates has, which I love.

Really can't wait fir this film. Beauty will be having all the characters already introduced in their own films so no need for origins etc, just right into the story.

I think they're the Ultimate version of Skrulls, aren't they? Or Kree?

I doubt they'll go down the alien route in the film. As mad as it sounds, they'll want to keep it as realistic and grounded as they can I'd think, so um, just Norse Gods and mutant supervillans then... Hehe.

I thought Norton was already tied in having signed for Hulk?

I think he only signed for one movie. There was an interview a couple of weeks ago where Norton said he was willing to do The Avengers but only if the Director´s Cut of The Incredible Hulk was released.

He goes on about being a comic book nut and helping write the last Hulk movie, but why would he pass up a chance at being in the freaking Avengers movie?! Muppet. It would be my comic book nerd dream come true.

If Leaves of Grass doesn't work out well for him, Norton is on a fast train to nowhere. He'd be fucking stupid to pass up the chance of getting onboard.

I can see why he wouldn´t want to work with Marvel after The Incredible Hulk.

Did he have a shit time with them? I know he's been moaning about it all but I don't know the specifics.

He's very fucking hard work. It's all about the artistic integrity with him. Stupid twat shouldn't really be doing pulpy comic book movies at all then.

Heh, artistic integrity is the last two words I'd ever associate Marvel movies with!

There´s something like 70 minutes of unused footage with backstory related scenes. Norton and the director wanted the theatrical cut to be around 130 min but Marvel only allowed for a 90 min cut.
He backed out of doing any promotion for the film and he tried to get the Director´s Cut at least on DVD but Marvel doesn´t want to do it.

Really? I'd love to see that extra footage, I'd snap up a DC of Hulk.

Me too, I actually enjoyed the film as it is though so perhaps I'm in a minority.

I thought the Incredible Hulk was great. It's probably the one that's most captured the Marvel atmosphere the best, even if it isn't the best film. All the sonic ray and cheesey stuff like that was done pretty well.

If it doesn't have Emma Peel in, it's not the Avengers. Harrumph.

I really liked it too. Was just what I was hoping for really, good action, Hulk Smash, etc. Much better than Ang Lee's effort I thought.

Why on earth wouldn't Marvel want to release a Director's cut?

Fair enough, really, they promised him some control in the creation of the movie (which frankly is why it turned out so well) then pulled out of it at the last minute. I'd love to see the DC, it'd probably get rid of my issues with The Incredible Hulk - which was that it was too fast and light.

I'm not asking for a repeat of the previous film, just some sort of depth wouldn't have gone amiss. Say what you want about it but Hulk had some nice character moments.
