Anyone read the preview of this in the recent issue of Edge? New racing game from Black Rock Studios (who made Pure), where the object of the game appears to be to race around a track and blow most of it up with explosives (with the purpose of creating short cuts, or crushing your opponents under 30 foot long steel girders). Sounds promising.

Registered 6 years agoThis looks like it'll turn out really really fun. Coming from the guy who hasn't played a racing game since GT2. -
The whole reality TV thing feels a bit worn out these days - back in the days of Smash TV it seemed like a really radical concept but these days almost regardless of how extreme a fictional depiction is, there's almost always been a genuine reality show that's as bad.
That said, stripped down to the basic concept - racing and blowing stuff up as you do so - could be fun, certainly the Edge preview makes it sound pretty compelling. And if it's a Burnout-alike that can restore the 'edge' that Burnout lost all the way back with the third installment by being too easy and allowing you to boost constantly and crash almost without consequence, then I for one will be interested. -
