Most cartoons in the 80s were Tom Wolf studio ones weren't they and mainly designed to flog shoddy action figures to gullible dicks like me. HAH, didn't work!

I was already into star Wars :p

And I also noticed that He-Man appears to be voiced by an 85-year old man, which doesn't seem right.

What was with that? They did it in a lot of cartoons then. The voice actors never fit the characters at all!

Still considerably better than the anime cutscenes in SF4 though...

Having recently purchsed the entire series I can firmly attest that Monkey is still a not so sublime slice of genius.

are you implying that Ant and Dec are Noel Edmonds, you never see them in the same room do you?

Perhaps they are TV's equivalent of Bill and Teds Station.

This A-Team hate is quite upsetting really. It's pure, distilled, formulaic, mindless entertainment at its finest. Each episode had movie-like car chases, stunts and explosions coupled with Mr T punching the crap out of people. What's not to like?

I watched the A-Team fairly recently and was actually quite impressed by how well it had aged. It's slightly toothless and about as edgy as a Daniel O'Donnell record, but it was well acted by the main cast and had decent production values.

It's funny you say "toothless" and largely I agree, but then you get these scenes, such as an early episode where they go to New York to help a group of shopkeepers, and the A-Team go shoving guns in peoples' faces and shooting the crap out of this guy's bar. Clearly they don't kill anyone, but they are essentially taking on gangsters in a pretty hardcore mercenary way. Hannibal doesn't take shit from anyone.

Automan is the only thing no one's mentioned so far of the Manimal/Streethawk/Airwolf/A-Team set, but that was only marginally cool.

There seems to be a couple of eps on youtube. I seem to recall it jumping the shark pretty early on in the first season.

I used to think The HighwayMan was ace, though given how quickly it got canned I was probably the only one.

I have the series of Automan downloaded. It's a bit arse.

As was Streethawk to an extent. :(

I just watched an episode of "Armchair Thriller" in the "Quiet as a Nun" drama and I was disappointed that the faceless "Black Nun" didn't scare me the same way it did when I saw this as an 8-year old. A shame, as I was looking forward to a good scare.

Airwolf and the original battlestar galactica seem boring now.
