I've noticed is the past few days a number of big games franchises that I've never played before getting current generation sequels for me the latest is Killzone 2, I'd never heard of Killzone 1 but thats not the only one...
Fallout, Gears of War, God of War, Call of Duty all seem to be big franchises that I personally never played am I missing out? What big franchises have you never touched?

(After realising this I've bought the Fallout collection on PC but was killed in some Radier camp south of Shady Sands after accidently announcing I was an explorer :( )

I would love to be able to play god of war 2 and 3 but since I don't have PS3 it'd be a bit difficult, so thats passed me by, sadly...

God Of War, my PS2 died before they came out and instead of buying another PS2 I moved to xbox and Live.

I'm hopefully picking up a new PS2 to replace my girlfriends dying one in a week or so I'm hoping to pick up the first one or 2nd before 3 comes out, to see it the hype is real. It just looks like DMC to me but we'll see.

I can't bring myself to play any fantasy game, anything Warcraft or Warhammer related, anything focused around pixies and orcs and fairies. I may have missed loads of great stuff as a result, but the whole thing is so utterly unappealing that I just can't do it.

Psychotext: "Post have the day. :D"

I hope you realise the grammatical error you of made there!!! ;0)

    FWIW:
Pokemon (never played a minute of this series shockingly)
    Killzone
    Ratchet & Clank
    Gran Turismo
God of War (though would like to play)
(.....guess which console I haven't bought since the original)
Metroid (though not through lack of trying - I bought Super Metroid for my SNES to break - then the same thing happened with Prime on the Cube?!?!??!)

    Why look, it's a blog:

That hotdog franchise that sells hotdogs in town centres has passed me by. There's one in the middle of Bath, it always smells nice, but I've never bought one yet :(

They are quite nice, when I was there a few weeks ago I succumbed.

I never really got God of War, bit too much melee going on there for me to really gain any interest.

Never had any longing for COD either.

God of War, Monster Hunter, Tomb Raider, Starcraft, Silent Hill... somehow managed to miss games in these franchises. I've played TR for about five seconds but not touched the rest.

If you feel like you want to try them, THPS3 is the best in the series. By miles.

Loads of stuff passed me by (I have a job and a family) but the current one I'm wondering what all the fuss is about is Street Fighter.

I have never played a Street Fighter game. Was oh so tempted by 4 but some of the fallout surrounding that has convinced me I probably made the right decision staying away.

Street Fighter is the obvious one for me. I only played my first with SF IV on the PS3 and to be honest I fail to see what all the fuss is about as it seems to be a very ordinary beat 'em up to me and very retro. I'm not to keen on the bizarre art style either.

It's OK with friends but I can't help wondering if this game is getting so much praise from older fans and critics wanting to experience the glory days of SF II again or something. Try as I am, I cannot see SF IV as anything but an overrated game myself so as such I'm quite disappointed by it.

PS3, PS4, PS Vita, Wii U, Xbox One, PC (Intel Core i7-4770K, 16 GB, 3 GB NVIDIA GeForce GTX 780, Windows 8.1 Pro), iPad 4, iPad mini with Retina Display.

See, I know you don't like fighters and so most of the game will be lost on you, but Street Fighter 4 is basically an enhancement to one of the finest, most balanced fighting games ever conceived. After Virtua Fighter. It's not overrated, it's just a game that appeals more to fighting games.

In a similar way, I think Halo3 and GTA4 are the most overrated games in history.

I'm not big on fighting games and I absolutely bloody love Street Fighter IV. It has something for everyone and is already one of my favourites.

But then I also think Halo 3 and GTA IV are two of the best games in years, so there you go!
