Well it's not exactly fair if you're going all the way back to the eighties really.

@evild_edd 64GB is out in Japan on the 10th. Not seen any release dates for Europe yet.

I swear the 64GB costs the same as I paid for the 32GB back before launch. :D

    @santashi

Ah, thanks. Sure it'll fibd its way to our ahores before too long. Might see what price it goes up for. I'm coming round to the idea of a 32gb card though - most of the indi games I fact are smaller sizes, so I should be able to build a decent library on a 32gb card :0)

    Why look, it's a blog:

A friend of mine is going to sell me his 32gb for 25 but I'm still probably going to get a 64gb too.

Yup. Been playing it all week :)

TBH I don't think it's well optimised for the vita. It suffers badly from stuttering and pauses while loading data, even in the middle of action sequences that can be quite jarring. Also, this game is *dark*. As is not much light. Unless you're playing in a pitch black room, the slightest bit of daylight makes it makes it very difficult to see what's going on. Which is a bit of a faff on a handheld. Could have upped the brightness, even if that meant losing contrast.

A Sword Art Online game for the Vita doesn't thrill me quite as much as the Madoka Magica announcement, but I'm still pretty excited.

Shush to anyone who tries to spoil my happiness by mentioning bad tie-ins and adaptations. ;)

After cancelling my Vita pre-order I've finally caved in and bought one. Great deal over at ShopTo at the moment.

I've also got Monkey Ball on the way too. PS Plus is already activated. Excited!

Why? Or a better question is, why is it rubbish if you're a big fan of Katamari 1 and 2?

    Oh. Oh dear.

So basically I should just stump up the 40 and get on with it, is what you're all saying.

I can see me using my Vita as pretty much a download only device, so the only thing to consider is whether or not to wait for a larger size...haven't they already released a 64gb card in Japan? If I'm going to take the hit, I' rather just do it the once...
40 is a bargain. Once you have it, whether it was worth it won't ever cross your mind once. That applies to me and I paid 60 for mine.

Downloaded fine for me. I'm enjoying it having never played Katamari before, also being quite crap at it though! I'm guessing my problem may be not switching ball shape - is that pretty much vital?

It's physical in America so if you import or buy from ebay you can have the box/card.

Have you guys seen the NIS interview on VitaLounge? They explain why Disgaea 5 isn't coming to console & handheld at the same time, the interesting bit is them confirming it will come to handheld after console though! :champo2:

I'd be more than happy to work for 5 hours-ish for the satisfaction that owning a 32gb card has given me, having all the games available for play whenever you want them. I've got a 64gb in my Xperia Play and haven't enjoyed that as much as the 32gb in my Vita, so while they cost about the same I would say the 32gb was better value.

Comparing everything to everything else is fine but personal value comes into it too. Moaning Vita has proprietory memory cards at this point is stupid so the fact regular memory cards are cheaper is irrelevant really. Everyone said it should be 1 per gb and 40 for 32 is near enough that but now everyone expects it to be 50p a gb or something like that.

A 32gb memory card for a camera or PC might be cheaper than a 32gb for Vita but having more memory in the camera isn't as good as having more on your vita - bargain can refer to other things than "relative cost to other similar products" and IMO 40 IS a bargain.

Just a heads up to ppl dunno if it's just anecdotal but last few weeks since I have been playing my vita predominately through the mains I have been experiencing a load of problems with my vitas touchpad (not responding ), screen freezing and a chip/crack appearing just below cart slot out of no where on the screen side. And now today switched on and the screen froze to black immediately and the ps button just kept flashing blue, looked it up and found this http://m.youtube.com/watch?v=Nf-jI0I_Z_I&desktop_uri=%2Fwatch%3Fv%3DNf-jI0I_Z_I . I know the solution to get your vita back up and running is well known but I don't think people realise playing your vita at the same time it's connected to a mains seems to be a no no if you don't want it to have an early death😭

I recently paid 15 for a 32gb Kingston Micro SD card, on Amazon. 40 quid is still a con. Still over 2.5x the price it should be.

As I said before, the high prices seem counterproductive. The Vita is a digital focused device, you'd think they'd want to give as much incentive as possible to buy a shit load of digital content.

Yeah, fair enough. You love the vita like a brother so it would be cheap at twice the price.

For me though, 40 for a 32gb card is not a bargain when you consider its almost three times more than other 32gb flash memory cards.

But, yeah, its been done, so who cares?

This is what I mean - before the price reductions everyone complained they wanted 1 per gb and now prices have gone down it's 50p per gb. I agree they are expensive but to me, as to many others here, it was well worth it.

The fact it IS proprietory means it's always going to be more expensive too as Kingston are no doubt producing a shit load more cards for the entire worldwide electronic device market than Sony are for Vita alone.

It's worth it because there is no other choice; doesn't make it a "bargain"

I meant that as, compared to the 60 it was, 40 is a bargain. I think that's more fair to say than just "the prices are a bargain" which I didn't mean to say/imply.

On the other hand, it still being outrageously expensive after having a third knocked off its price shows how insulting the prices were in the first place.
