A trophy to show I've finished a game is the only one of any importance to me. Don't have many of those though ;-)

In other news, was playing a bit of Uncharted: Golden Abyss over lunch. It;s not bad at all, but I'm getting fed up of all the gyro and touch gimmicks. The game interrupts you every minute or so to tell you how to interact with things which is annoying. And then earlier I had to stop playing because the game wanted me to "hold the parchment up to a bright light". I was playing in a dimly lit staff area. Nothing I can do about that, cheers guys!
Just deleted this yesterday, after initially been impressed its just too gimmicky for me
Plus I'm finding too much gun play an annoyance.

Every time you cross a log 'oh no' tilt the vita!!

I'll buy Limbo if you reinstall and complete Uncharted dammit! There aren't that many logs...

There are logs, touch "boost ups", pottery cleaning, gyro on rails bits, camera trickery, and manuscript cleaning.

Having said that, I will carry on with it.

Adjusting balance on a log - just because you can implement it doesn't mean you should; especially if the end result of failing is instant death & restart at checkpoint.

    Bad design.

Yeah the camera stuff was just too finicky after a couple of goes. Luckily I'm not a trophy whore so I soon stopped bothering.

It is one of the few games that has me trophy chasing (hated trophy system on the 360), I simply must have ALL THE SHINY LEWT!

Hm, they could have made it so 'failing' made you drop your larger weapon rather than falling to your death. So you can carry on but at a slight penalty.

Possibly on my own here, but I quite enjoyed all that chuff. Immersive, if I may utter the controversial word.

@monkman76 Tomb Raider did it well this year. No balancing. Lara might slip or wobble but she always made it over.

Yeah, I don't mind if this sort of thing is done once in a while to keep the player on their toes, but to have it happen whilst crossing every single log / railing just made it silly and annoying.

Summed the whole experience up, really - the core game was simple but solid, but unnecessarily complicated with all the forced gimmicky bits.

Luigi mansion 2 balance beam stuff annoyed me no end. It was the only gripe in an amazing game though.

I'm the same. Loved every second.

I would have the platinum but I just can't manage the "kill 5 guys with a single punch" thing.

That and the fucking mushroom escort quests. Even in the world of escort quests (which are universally shit) they stood out as annoying. Oh, and the lack of checkpoints or saves.

I think I got that in the bit where you go down a staircase into a warehouse (there's a lowered floor with a jeep in it), but it is a while ago that I played it. Not sure if that helps!

I just finished it recently too! Loved every second of it. The atmosphere was incredible and although the story quite linear, somehow they managed to keep the wonder of exploration from the older games.

Anyway, this is the Vita forum so I digress...

@NeverEatYellowSnow Ad hoc mode generally means you can play local multiplayer if you have buddies with their own Vitas in the immediate vicinity.

Great stuff, do you all need a copy of the same game?
