According to an advert in MCV as reported on TheSixthAxis, we are getting Luftrausers, Stealth B*stard, Lone Survivor and Spelunky at some point this month.

    Really looking forward to Spelunky.

I didn't really get Spelunky on the 360, but might try again with the Vita. Probably more suited to it.

Playing Unit 13 through Plus and it's surprisingly good! Seems a shame that Zipper were shut down after this :-(

Unit 13 is a far better game than reviews suggest.

Certainly feels that way. The AI is seriously dumb but otherwise it feels like a beefed-up Ghost Recon 2. Really enjoying it so far

I never either but after hearing the praise it was getting I went back to it and loved it!! I think it would be perfect for in your hands.

The same. Reminds me of my rainbow six terrorist hunt days. really enjoying it too. More so than I did the demo.

I just couldn't get on with Unit 13 and I still can't pinpoint why not. Technically it is great, it controls well and looks good. But every time I go to play (for it for 15 on PSN) I just can't be fucked with it. Might just be burnt out on these types of game.

Are we getting Bit.Trip Runner 2 on Vita? I've heard nothing but I'm sure I saw it in a recent video?

Great news. I will purchase all 4 when they come out! Hopefully I can finish a couple of my older PSN titles to clear some space/allocation from my 100 installs!

I'm really quite impressed with the Vita overall. I'm basically just playing through the PS+ games at the moment, with Uncharted being impressive technically, if a little underwhelming.

However, the remote play has some serious issues. I played SOTC on it and had to give up after 5 minutes as the lag was unbelievable, not to mention the control input was even worse.

Other than that I'm now just biding my time for Sony to sort out this megapack problem with a bit of Rayman and Limbo.

Lone Survivor is a BRILLIANT game.

I will most likely double dip.

I'm not bothering with PS3 remote play, but one of the reasons I got a Vita was one eye on the promise of all Ps4 games having remote play. Hopefully they'll take that a bit more seriously and make ir properly functional.

I think they said it's something to do with the ps4 hardware that will make it very functional indeed; in fact every game will be supported I think.

It won't be a deciding factor on which next gen console to plump for, for me at least, but it would be a pretty worthwhile addition should I go down the sony route.

It's a shame remote play doesn't seem to work for everyone because I genuinely have had good results with it. I guess I have the right combination of PS3 model, wired, router, wifi, wind direction for it to work well for me.

Give yourself 5 or gig, you're worth it.

I hope you're all using direct connection to the PS3. That way you're taking all the router, wifi, etc. elements out of the equation.

Even then, the Vita and PS3 have to be within good signal range of each other.

I had good results with it but, admittedly, they were PS1 games and a few other little odds and sods, nothing to intensive.

The remote play is done in software for the ps3 that's why it's terrible. The ps4 has dedicated hardware for it do hopefully will be much better.

Known as 'Sharzam' in 98.5% of games

Hmm... I still think network performance is the deciding factor here. That's also the reason I don't think remote play on the PS4 will be an earth shattering, life changing experience. I'm open to be proven wrong.

But if the PS4 just beams the game directly at the Vita, then network performance will have nothing to do with it.

Its basically the same way the wii u communicates with the pad. Everyone thought it would be some bespoke bluetooth stuff but it just directly wifis its shit.

All they have to do is put a second wifi transmitter in the PS4 and its basically a turbo wii u.

Ha, just play them directly on the Vita! (which is what I was getting at)

That's sort of how it works in the PS3 right now, though. You can be connected to the internet with wifi and be connected to a PSP or Vita with a private wireless network.

I don't know whether it's two transmitters or what, but the PS3 can definitely be connected to an infrastructure wifi network and create a separate wifi network for the handheld at the same time.

There seems to be three levels of Remote Play capability.

    1 - within range of your PS3
2 - within range of your home WiFi
3 - within range of any WiFi

With results from best to worst going from top to bottom.

    Guide
