    Sports Sale

Does anyone here have MLB The Show 12 & 13? Is there much of a difference? I'm tempted by that sale price...

I've got '12 for the PS3 and had an earlier title ('08 maybe) for the PSP. I really enjoy the PS3 version but don't get that much use out of it - it's bloody hard (as they all are unless you've been used to them for years), even on the easiest settings.

8 for '12 on Vita, I'm thinking about it! Any word on how long the sale will last for (eg until payday at the end of the month)?

13 is decent on Vita although I'm not really a baseball fan. I've not played 12. 13 is heavily improved over 12 by all accounts though.

So a couple of days with my Vita and loving it so far - although not used in that much as trying to complete The Last Of Us.
    Rayman Origins is fantastic.
Played the first level of Uncharted- controls felt slightly awkward but might take time to fine tune and get used to.
Sine Mora- loving this. Perfect game for a portable device.
I'm saving Gravity Rush as everyone seems to rate it highly.

    Please add me- joesploggs
Going to start adding people from here. Thanks

Edit: Oh and the one thing forgot to mention that I really love is the multitasking- being able to stick device on stand by and then resume the game. Cannot wait for this with the PS4!

@NeverEatYellowSnow cheers for the tip but already played it on the Xbox- could be tempted to pick it up again though. I'm looking forward to playing Retro City Rampage at some point- anyone played it?

Please let there be a Vita GTA at some point.Does anyone remember the rumours about "Vice City Nights"?

I got my Vita at Game the weekend too - seems a lot of folk (like me) were waiting on that kind of price. If they drop the memory prices I reckon it'll sell loads when PS+ becomes mandatory for multiplayer.

    @Gaol You've seen the 10 games plus 8GB card promo for 25.99?

Give yourself 5 or gig, you're worth it.

@Trowel It does, but from someone who completed Super Ghouls 'N' Ghosts as an eager child, it looks way to difficult for me these days.

    @mrpon

Would these be pre installed on the memory card or free to download ?

From what I've read it's blank memory card and PSN codes for the games.

If you order the vita mega pack from Amazon you get the table football game, and from Zavvi you get Wipeout 2048.

Blimey, didn't know Jak Trilogy on vita was cross buy too! All these games i've bought on PSN but never got round to play also playable on the Vita now at no extra price :)

Could only see Jak 2 on the store and 1 & 2 didn't show which I thought was weird.
  • Deleted user 20 June 2013 22:16:55
I'm thinking of picking that up, I could trade the 8g and my physical copy of LBP in at CEX for 22.

This does look great! I adored Rick Dangerous in the Amiga days.

For those that never got to experience it, there's a very faithful flash recreation available.

Golden Abyss was my first Vita game. My jaw was on the floor when I first started playing. Amazingly it's a longer game than its PS3 counterparts too! Took me quite a while to finish.

I spent about three hours on Golden Abyss tonight, much longer than I intended. Surprised at how good the little analogue sticks are, managed a 90 kill streak on Normal. The game seems really well paced between cut-scene/stealth/platforming/open fight.

I've had quick looks at Rayman and Gravity Rush and both look like they will be terrific. It's a great device for the money, no question.

My modded VITA arrived yesterday, been playing around with the settings and fell back in love with the handheld (had one on launch but the lack of titles slowly put me off).

Tried to decide on Golden Abyss or Soul Sacrifice to play first. I went with Soul Sacrifice since Golden Abyss is free at the mo on PSN and I have to admit I'm quite enjoying it. Jumping from a slowly narrated story to fast paced action and back again seems to be setting the pace nicely, as neither section is too long or too short.

Well I took the plunge and bought my vita the other day. Got it from Game for 149.99 with uncharted 3. Can't believe "GAME" actually had a good deal.....

Anyway loving it so far but my only concern is the controls, I have quite small hands but feel quite uncomfortable using the controls. Is there anything I can do to relieve this? Can only imagine how difficult it would be for me to compete online.

Got uncharted 3 home then seen that I could DL it for free on PS+, do u think game would take a swap/blag for soul sacrifice? Doubtful. Loving PS+ and wish I knew about it earlier as I would have got a PS3.

Downloaded all the free PS+ stuff and really impressed. Sine More plays great and really suits the device. Still not played Gravity rush but looking forward to it after looking through some of this thread.

Had to quickly buy a 4gb card (14.99 pffff) after thinking the value pack was already available to buy after seeing it on smyths toys. Just a heads up to fellow newbies. THIS.

Also not missing my usual xbox achy points after using the new trophy system, seems to work well.

Please add me if you can as I need some competition on some leaderboards, werewolf_poo is my handle.

    Cheers guys

Ohhhhh forgot to mention. I got Metal Gear Solid in the sale after thinking 7.99 was a tad steep, I then seen it reduced the day after.

Great value for one of my favourite games of all time, shame it doesn't use the full screen (but maybe it would look worse stretched).

I've not tried on Vita yet, but on PSP you could stretch PS1 games to look however you pleased, there was a bunch of options when you hit the Home/Playstation button.
