Guacamelee! looking like it's as good as the trailer suggested.

Ah. In my defence the thread title is really short, so that's how I must have missed it.

The blog confirmed a while ago that a PSP sale was coming. Hopefully it didn't mean the Disney rubbish!

Gah - after shelling out on a new card - I promised (myself) that I wasn't going to buy any new games until I'd finished Sly Cooper (at least!). If there's a Plus discount, I'll definitely crumble :(

Ragnarok Odyssey Ace is definitely going to get localised.

I keep thinking of it as something like a New Game+ version of the original.

It'll also be out on PS3, although I think it was just the Vita version that's been confirmed for over here.

I've got a chip on the front screen of my Vita. FUCK! :-/

No idea how it's happened, it lives in a case when not in use.

Yeah, I got a slice (with accompanying air bubble) in the middle of the screen protector which appeared out of nowhere a couple of days after I'd put it on. I have no idea how it got there. It's immensely annoying, but I'm not buying another starter kit just for that. Also, somehow I managed to put it on perfectly, which doesn't happen very often, so I'm rather hesitant to take it off and put another one on, in case it looks worse than the one I have now, slice and all.

I've got a big gaping scratch in my rear, if that makes anyone feel any better.

    No wait that sounds weird.

Ouch. I was going to ask how careful I should be with this thing, was never too precious with iphones/other screens and never had a problem. Is it worth getting a screen protector then? And are there any recommended cases, something plain and black that won't affect the analogue sticks?

Still really liking this thing. It's a bit disappointing that games I'd buy on ios for 69p are about four times the price here, things like Sunflowers and Haunt the House, which admittedly I'm enjoying. I'm bummed the PSP version of Outrun Coast to Coast isn't available to buy.

@Short-Round I've had mine since launch, never used a screen protector and just generally leave it lying about on my desk/sofa/bed when it's not in use. I don't have a single mark on it.

I do have this case for when I'm taking it somewhere with me, though. It's got a bit of a rubberized feel and the Vita just slips in. The inside is a soft cloth material, so it keeps the machine clean as well. Also, I'm well aware all of that sounds mildly suspect. The Velcro flap on the top has space for a couple of game cards, though you could probably jam four in there without too much trouble. It does what I need it to and it's very affordable. As I said, my Vita's usually just lying about, so there was no point in me spending loads on a case I use infrequently.

Cheers, I was looking at that and the other 4Gamers case. Don't the analogue sticks get squeezed?

@Short-Round I use the other 4Gamers case you mentioned (clam shell design with zipper). It's great, keeps everything protected, no real pressure on the analogue sticks, and it has a bit of cloth that goes right around the inside protecting the console from the zipper.

I also have never used a screen protector and I wipe the screen with a microfiber cloth after each use. My screen still looks great. I have one (I think) tiny, light scratch at one corner but it is practically invisible. You need to tilt the Vita on a weird angle under bright light to see it and of course it's completely invisible when the power is on.

So although the Vita can be scratched, it is much more scratch resistant than the PSP was.

Vita's a hundred times better than psp for resisting screen scratches. Not used a protector since first week and my screen is in top condition.
Psp was terrible though. Sure I scratched it with a bit of rough thumb skin before!

I use the same case as Roddy100 and it's great. Keeps it nicely protected and is neither too big nor too small. There is storage space for 10 games, plus an additional pouch area for storing screen clothes or whatever else you feel like.

Vita's pretty solid, dropped it down the stairs with no case and it was fine. No marks on mine, shame it's such a finger print magnet.

Wasn't someone on here getting some gloves to use with there's?

I paid $20 (money no object) for one of these suede sleeves from SanFranBags. It was exactly what I was after.

Give yourself 5 or gig, you're worth it.

It is worth remembering that even the tiniest speck of dust can have sharp edges. In my experience, people can have widely different opinions on what a flawless/scratch-less screen looks like.

Some nice cases there, I find the one in the travel kit to be perfectly fine however.

I've heard the Hori screen protector is very good at hiding current scratches/chips.

    Anyone confirm this?
