Yeah, thought so. Maybe they were harking back.

Now I'm feeling all nostalgic for Eternia...

Where's all the birthday love for the Vita today?

Had to wait until 4pm last year as our house is in the middle of 3 distribution depots and we are always last on the couriers route. Well worth the wait though, will pick up P4 later as a present ;)

    Good point, Kangoo!

Last year I got the train to Game(!) in St. John's Shopping Centre to grab my preordered 3G Vita, since I was trading my Xbox 360 and some games against it. I set to examining the Vita on the near empty train on the way back. I already had a case and memory card and had actually brought them in with me so I could at least do something with it before I got home. :p

The Hut got my first Vita game to me that day: Shinobido 2. And it was so good.

Happy Birthday Vita! Don't spit on your cake now. Your OLED screen is looking as lovely as the day you were born. Now you are getting a bit older, people will hopefully see that you offer as much as your hunchback cousin the Wii U and a lot more.

Hopefully my Game ordered copy of NFS MW will eventually have arrived today. A whole week to get here is really taking the piss but at least it's birthday appropriate.

On another note, how fucking amazing is Rayman Origins on the Vita? I can't believe people were suggesting this shouldn't be a full price retail game when it came out for the home consoles. It's starts off good, but I'm well into it now and the difficulty has ramped up beautifully and every level is a perfect balance of challenge, frustration and reward.

I actually hold Rayman Origins in the same regard as the best of Mario. So glad the sequel isn't a WiiU exclusive. Also, it's one of the most graphically beautiful games I've played - ever. Total must-buy if you haven't got it already.

Rayman is fantastic, such a beautiful game both on the vita and on console. Got my Vita for my birthday last may and still haven't finished it.

Really happy with the amount of attention it got at the presser on Wednesday, this PS4 functionality will really give it an extra dimension.

Bought mine on March 7th. From GAME, with Lumines.

On the same day I placed an order from Amazon for a 16gb card, EG and Wipeout.

Hardly touched it since and haven't spent another penny on it. No games you see.

You could probably build up a bit of a back log if you weren't so fussy.

    Happy birthday vita!

Literally a year ago to the hour I first picked my preordered 3G Vita up.

Loved the first year of games. What an awesome handheld console.

Let's hope its given more of the love it deserves and continues strongly

The Vita may not have as many friends as PS360 but we all love him much more.

I'm going to buy him a hard case as his birthday present - what are you guys getting Vita as a present?

@aros umm... You're going to end up giving yours serious issues - the Vita is a she. Sleek, adorable and she even lets me touch her bottom.

Happy Birthday Vita! I got you a year ago with Lumines, WipEout and Uncharted, and plenty of games and a 32GB card later, you're still very entertaining :)

Just picked up P4 from town, a bit of a sad day. Game were only stocking to allocate to pre-orders, mine and one other which hadn't been picked up. Guy serving said no one had even asked. Hoping this is more to do with it being released early on PSN and a lot of people importing the US version.

On another note, couple of geeks in there (pre-ordering 360 games) said they weren't impressed with the PS4 and the console was ugly. The guy serving them said no one has seen the console. One of the geeks just says I have and it's ugly. Guy serving him said he was going to lunch and walked out :)

why is it that people, usually but not necessarily teenage kids, in videogame shops always have to act like they know more than every other geek in the shop about videogames? it usually results in moments like these.

I wouldn't really care if it did look ugly as long as it doesn't take up some crazy amount of room and plays superb games brilliantly. ;) Better an ugly machine of wonder than a pretty brick. Anyway, I imagine they might just have some people whose job it is to make it look all sleek and shiny.

Yeah, I couldn't care less what it looked like. My consoles go in my A/V stack, which is dominated by a seriously ugly Onkyo giant black box from hell receiver.
