    @Murbal about 112. Only three and four star races left now. I've done some of the three stars but it all just seems to be down to complete luck and doing the same race over and over till you somehow wind up first.

    Know exactly what you mean! I'm only on 52 but have got a few 3* ones (24/24 on stage1 yay!) and the balance of those can sometimes feel off.

    @Murbal have you unlocked expert
    level, the fourth star for each level     that's when it gets really rage inducing.

    Ladies and gentlemen, I have an announcement to make. After years of trying and failing, I finally.... /drum roll..... get Final Fantasy!

    Hated every single one I've ever played... until now. Bought and am enjoying FF9. Since the whole game makes sense to me now I might even be able to go back to some of the others I hated.

    Result!

    Now give me HD remakes of the PS2 FF games for the Vita with trophies ;)

    It's a good game. I can't help longing for more diversity in the character and track rosters though. I'd also rather they left characters in the style they were in their game. It's odd to see Gum and Beat as non cel shaded for instance.

    Ive never played any of them so dont quite know what to expect. Bought 7,8,9 last week. They are tucked away In the backlog though. Got loads to play before them. Damn Zen pinball 2 just had to come out on the Wii U as well. Had to buy that! :)

    @Gregolution These days, I'd say IX is the best one to start with if you're unsure of the series, anyway. I absolutely adore the game, and if you don't end up loving Vivi by the end, you have no soul!

    I really want to replay FFX, but I'm waiting for the Vita/HD remaster :( Come on Square-Enix!!

    No.

    I guess I got past the outrageously boring part of clicking attack, select target, attack, select target. Quite quickly in FF9 I had to use items, change order and cast the right spells or I'd die. I hate playing games where it's totally mindless combat basically (like the last FF for the first 20+ hours).

    I'm also quite enjoying the completely bonkers story.

    I started my Mrs on FF9 it's a very easy to love rpg. Now's she's done 7,8,3&4 just waiting for FFX HD

    Unfortunately it looks like Labyrinth Cross Blood Infinity might not be as playing-in-public friendly as I'd thought!

    I'm quite surprised by the cutesy super deformed images, too, but I do like the twist of picking the blood of a hero rather than a straight job selection.

    The question is how much that stuff is. The 4gamer article mentioned 6 new types of items (the original has around 1800 items but doesn't say how many types) - it could literally just be two event scenes. Persona 4 had the odd scene which was a bit dodgy as well, and people seem happy enough with that. I'm interested in what they've done to the game's UI, as the article mentions making use of both touch and the analogue sticks, while making the interface less confusing. Demon Gaze didn't use the touchscreen much so I wonder if they're increasing the amount of touch to increase speed of interaction.

    Edit: the way you create character portraits from pieces is interesting too - the last game I remember doing that was Initial D 4th Stage, and combined with Shuichi Shigeno's complete inability to draw human faces you could make some really messy looking people.

    I can live with dodgy and don't mind CGs while I'm at home, but it would be sod's law to have a naked lady clutching a towel to her breasts appear on the screen while I'm on a crowded train. ;) The same goes for the opening of Corpse Party: Book of Shadows... I guess you might be able to see it coming though!

    That's interesting to hear about the touch screen use. I'm definitely looking forward to seeing more about the game.

    I want to look up Initial D 4th Stage now so I can see the... creations. :p

    Reckon Sony'll do a model with an on-board flash drive? Anything over 20GB would surely make the whole digital delivery more viable. I have a 20GB still on my Xbox and I hate having to always delete things.
