I liked Riviera as far as I got. My save files got mysteriously corrupted mid-play and I was so far into it I couldn't be bothered starting again at the time.

Grandia is good but it didn't grab me, so decided to try persona 3 instead.

Will have a look into Riviera.

I would *love* to play a proper JRPG on Vita but it seems FFX is not going to happen and something like FF XII, I can only dream of (or emulate it on my new laptop which is far from ideal experience.) I don't know what Sony's strategy is going to be this year but surely some big name titles are crucial for this thing to succeed?

I'd kill for FFXII on Vita. I loved that game and wished they'd kept the combat system for XIII.

Escape Vektor is very good. Played it solidly on a three hour flight.

I wasn't fussed on the story so much but I did love the combat. I do hope they get round to it when they finish FFXHD (turning into Versus as far as news goes...).

£18.85 is a steal, brilliant game that is an amazing conversion of the big version.

@steveb07 if you already bought it on psp then you should just be able to download it again. look at your download list via the ps store on the vita. it works on vita no probs. that,s assuming you use the same account on vita that you used on the psp.
I did and will check tonight, thanks.

Thinking about it I downloaded other games as well. I'm all excited now!
    No luck :-(
It was a UMD Megadrive collection...

I paid the extra, what, £3? for the Ltd Ed. Got Metal Sonic (already maxxed out, no need to level) and an Outrun Bay track. Frame rate in the track is awful so it probably wasn't worth the extra to be fair. Wish I'd gone with the vanilla version.

Finished off that uncharted card game on the tube this morning. Entertained me enough to complete all the fortune hunter games and worth the 3 quid entry fee IMO.

Unfortunately I don't think there's enough to it to go through each match 5 times to unlock everything.

The ultimate killer app is coming to Europe on 6th February - Wake Up Club!

A free social "wake up app" - with trophies :p

(In all seriousness, it seems like half of the GAF Vita community have been waiting for it since it's appearance in Japan)

    WTF?!??

Don't people just switch off their alarm and get straight out of bed?

@Murbal I do. I think everyone else does - but the potential idea to play a game involving the mundane task of getting out of bed probably excites the ones who say Vita has no games :p

Tell me about it. I wish I had something to play on my Vita. Perhaps I ought to buy a new game? ;-)

@Gregolution Did you just play each adversary once? Each time you play them it's a bit different setup (and sometimes a very different challenge). For example, I just completed the Descendants series, and the fourth game had a 10 round limit for success.

If you really liked the game, then you might check them out. The game is pretty easy up until now, but I've actually started to fail - so the 3rd 4th and 5th challenges can be much tougher than the opening fight with each adversary.

Result! Didn't realise that. Really happy to hear it, cheers.

This game + Music Unlimited + a new pair of noise cancelling headphones has made my commute the best part of my day lol

@Gregolution I used them when they were under a different name. Fairly reliable but you're probably not going to have to wait too long to get a decent price for a UK copy.

Wow, that looks nice. Wish more Japanese games had that classic look rather than the manga/anime aesthetics.

Sumioni has taken so long to come over that it's appeared on Android in the meantime!
