Registered 7 years agoBattery indicator needs to be on green to turn on. If the charging light is flashing it won't turn on. -

Registered 1 year agoRealised I'd left my Vita paused on a level I was creating in LBP so the battery must have run too low.

Registered 6 years agoI thought the Vita leaves the game in the exact same state once the battery has run dry. I'm always doing it and keep ignoring the low warning message until it finally goes.
After charging for about 15min, I can usually carry on the game from the exact same position. -

Registered 7 years agoAgree. Not sure whether it leaves a small amount in there once the machine turns off. Then if you leave for a while it will lose saves. I have had both scenarios. -

Registered 2 years agoI should probably let mine run down completely more than I do.
Anyway! Compile Heart is working on a Vita game called Monster Monpiece, which involves pinching, poking and rubbing. Not sure whether that is some sort of monster taming or something creepier.PSN ID: finn1

Registered 8 years agoI think I've slowly caught up with where I was in Rayman Origins since my daughter wrote over the save.
edit: in fact that's a lie. I've had progress related achievements so I can't have got as far as I'd thought originally. Finished it on 360 before so that's possibly why I'm a little confused.

On a different topic, there hasn't been any news on FFX for ages, has there? Well, if you don't count the comment that they started work on the HD Kingdom Hearts PS3 game first.PSN ID: finn1

Registered 9 years agoI had the Vita battery issue yesterday too. Odd, as I was playing on it over the weekend, and I could have sworn the battery was half-full then. -

Registered 2 years agoI've had the Vita suddenly have very little battery a few times, but as far as I remember it has only been when I've had it in sleep mode when it's been in my bag (in its case) when a game had been active. I'd always assumed that it had somehow taken itself off sleep mode.
How did that happen, Murbal?

Registered 8 years ago@santashi I presume it was just having it stuffed in a bag. Too much tension at the end that plugs into the transformer so the rubber has come away
I can only guess at how much an official replacement would be! -

Registered 2 years agoThat's a pain. :/ Hopefully the tape will do the trick. There may be decent unofficial ones on Amazon, too. I bought a PSP charger from there as my model was Japanese and it worked fine.PSN ID: finn1

Registered 8 years agoSo, Monkey Ball is out soon. Pre-order prices are varying from less than £14 @ ShopTo to £35 at Game (naturally). Is it supposed to be a 'budget' release or not?
I'm vaguely tempted to whack in a preorder at ShopTo at that price! -

Registered 8 years ago@Murbal Official replacement USB cable's about a tenner, we bought one recently to go in the "holiday charger cables bag" (the other half's slightly OCD about such things). Get one of them and plug it into a generic USB wallplug charger.Inventor of the hovercraft

Registered 8 years agoBit of lecky tape works wonders! But if you do ever go down the replacement USB route, don't be tempted by the cheapo knock-off ones you can get for £3-4. Some of them don't work.Inventor of the hovercraft

Quite a good review here. I would just be happy if they re-issued the original but for under £14 seems a nobrainer for me.

Registered 10 years agoSpeaking of charging cables, I had trouble with mine using a travel adapter in Italy recently - the Vita wouldn't charge either plugged in via either the full 3 pin setup or just with the USB (the adapter worked fine with other plugs of either type, like phone and camera), yet the Vita worked fine when I used a different adapter altogether. Has anyone had a similar problem, or am I missing some obvious voltage thing? -
