Registered 4 years agoI was thinking, we've seen games come along trying to save the PS3, MGS4, Little Big Planet, and now Killzone 2 and while it's still too early to tell I have a feeling that Halo Wars on the Xbox360 is going to completely outdo Killzone 2 in terms of sales and popularity...long story short, it's the PS3s failure to have a breakout game going to cause Sony to close their gaming division? -
They already have.

Registered 7 years agoKillzone did not even reached a million sales and that was in the PS2 days of glory.
I never understand why people would think of Killzone 2 as some kind of "system seller" considering Killzone sales.

Killzone was super shit. Playing Killzone Liberation at the moment, and that's balls as well.

If the mediocre Halo 3 (Compared to the first 2) could sell 360's then I don't see how Kill Zone 2 can't sell PS3's.

Bollocks. I was just about to correct your mistaken number and you edited.
Killzone sold over 2 million.

Registered 7 years agoOddly enough, that 2 million number has no source associated with it. Killzone also isn't listed in the top selling PS2 games - which starts at 1m.This post is sponsored by Apple and the iPhone 4S. Think different.

( Besides, they could have shipped that many and had retailers landfill the ones they couldn't sell.

Er, maybe because Killzone 1 was years ago and Sony have spent a fortune marketing Killzone 2?

So if Halo 3 can sell consoles so can Kill Zone 2. -

Registered 7 years agoNo but the point is it was a million times better. Which is why it sold consoles. So K2 won't, or certainly not to the same degree.Pissy pants.

1.1 million preorders in Europe! Killzone, seems like its going to be a decent money maker. -

Registered 7 years agoI liked the demo. If I were not tied up in many other titles and putting a second and third character through the Northrend lvl80 grindathon...I would buy it and play it.
No idea why anybody would bother pre-ordering it though. Never pre-ordered any game and always found a launch day copy if I wanted it. -

Is it coincidence that everyone on here who hates KZ2 has a XBL Gamertag in their profile?
Anyway. The PS3 is doing fine. It costs twise the price of the competition and has sold 21 million units in two years. Not even hte 360 managed to sell that many in that time.
Don't believe everything you read in the US media. They are trying to stop people from buying imports at the moment to help their economy. -

Or; a bit of a reaction which says a bit more about you than people who're finding fault - because quite a few of the people I know aren't fanboys are finding some of the criticisms are ringing true for them in playthroughs.
As for myself, I very nearly pre-ordered this at the same time as Halol Wars, but had to hold off buying both due to real life expences
I'll definitely get it though; the demo reminded me a *lot* of Black, and I really enjoyed that.Anyway. The PS3 is doing fine. It costs twise the price of the competition and has sold 21 million units in two years. Not even hte 360 managed to sell that many in that time.
