They did but it was more Blade Runner the TV series than Total Recall, it wasn't too bad but ,as ever, got cancelled just as it hit its stride.

Ah right, glad my mind isn't completely bonkers then!

I assumed it'd be shit, tbh.

The bit where Sharon Stone askes to be tied up makes me moist everytime.

DAMN I would've locked the door and had her tied up in 4 seconds.

Howdy, stranger! This is Hauser. If things have gone wrong, I'm talking to myself, and you've probably got a wet towel wrapped around your head.

The original but fucked the source material so this can only be good news.

If you can read this you really need to fiddle with your forum settings.

    ermm what...?!

How could it possibly be better than the original?!

It'll be PG or 15, no one will get their arms ripped off, or their eyes popping out of their head, there will be no awesome nose pulling bug scene, when people get shot their bodies will not explode in giant blood pops, innocents wont get killed on escalators, there will be no awesome cyborg head, or neck breaking cracks, or wrist restraints through the neck, or poles through the face.

It'll suck man. It'll be dumbed down to the lowest common denominator for 'the kids' so it'll gross more at the cinema. I'll be surprised if they even show much blood in it.

Have you read the short story? ALL Philip K Dick films are insults to the source material. (Except Brazil ;) )

They took a great thought provoking idea and turned it into a string of one-liners and Arnie moments.

About fucking time this gets a re-make.

EDIT: Re reading your post I realised that you were being ironic.

So great source material + the greatness of Arnie and his one liners surely = best movie ever

Because you can do that without pissing on Philip K Dicks grave.

I think Phillip K. Dick would have loved Total Recall.

Not really, it's pretty much only loosely based on 'Wholesale'.

Adding Arnie to a film automatically increases its awesomeness by a factor of 9,000.
