    Anyone for pancakes tonight?

    No, gluten free.

    Remember you had that bread at the weekend, you were fine.

    Yeah but when I realised I started to feel bad.

    What fucking ever.

    Anyway, I'm making some, maple syrup as I ran out of jam and forgot to get some and gluten free flour, nah just kidding, just forgot the jam.

    That's quite an interesting ingredient, will pass it on, thanks. Looks tasty.

    The level of decadence in this thread makes me sick. You animals with your fried pudding dishes are everything that's wrong with this world.

    Bob is right. I took his comment to heart and tried to make it feel less indulgent by eating the ingredients separately. Getting through that pile of flour was a bit of a slog.

    Maple syrup, along with granulated sugar or lemon juice are the only valid toppings in my experience. Jam? Jam is only fit for cream teas, rice puddings or the famously named dodgers. And you porridge eaters will make do with a pinch of salt and be thankful for it.

    Flippings a high risk low gain strategy. Nothing wrong with the spatula scoop & flop method. It's not pretty but it works.

    @Porko_Rossi

    Nothing impresses the smalls more than a flipped pancake. My eldest was telling me all about daddy pig not being able to flip a pancake on the way to Nursery this morning.

    Had a Burger King On the train.

    Now my uncaring wife has me up with the baby at 3:39.

    @THFourteen true, flipping is impressive to the smalls. Failed flops can be more memorable than a triple rodeo flip. I thought about trying a flip but my deep 24" pan weighs a tonne.
