    Actually stuff Pancake day. From tomorrow i will call it Onion rings day.

    Pancake mixes from the shops are for heathens, it's not like it's difficult to make the batter.

    Definitely thick pancakes, sugar and lemon, lovely.

    As a slight derail, icing suger on French toast is pretty damn good. (But not as good as just dipping in brown sauce...)

    You sir have excellent taste - very close to the recipe we use, given to us direct from a friend in the States a few months back after picking up the taste for proper US panCAKES in Vegas. Beats the shit out of the traditional British pan-crepe effort. We have them every Sat morning with handfuls of blueberries :)

    259g plain flour
    1 tsp baking powder
    1/2 tsp baking soda
    1 tsp salt
    2 tbsp sugar

    2 large eggs
    2 cups milk
    4 tbsp butter

    Heh! Yeah that is really close mate :o)

    I've really tried hard to have things on pancakes other than butter'n'syrup but love that combo too much! My recipe came straight from my dear old Grandma in the States, she'd used the same recipe since she was a girl.
