Anyone see it the other night? It may have been Scotland only so here's the iPlayer link.

Basically, internet comedy weirdo gets his own half hour show on the Beeb. Turned out much, much better than I was expecting.

I played CS:S with this guy once and he struck me as a complete cunt, seems OK on the show though.

Well his show was shown in Scotland this evening.... Did anyone catch it?

Don't think it's appearing on iPlayer until Sunday. Be nice to see him find some success with it, TV needs more dark, psychotic comedies these days.

It's sprinkled with sketches from his site again. Some really good wtf moments, one near the end especially, the roundabout.

I checked the first episode out last night after seeing this thread, and struggled to get past ten minutes. Turned it off in the end, really bad. At least BBC Scotland were taking some sort of chance rather than another shite comedy from the Chewin' The Fat/Still Game mob, I suppose.

I've only seen one episode of the first series, which I thought was really slow and dull, but the second series has been really good so far, particularly the first episode. I think the guy is brilliant.

Excellent, Limmy's back! Just watching the first ep now - seems as good as the later eps of the first series, which were pretty good.

Cubby didn't know how to turn off sigs!

I've only just heard of Limmy recently by being shown some YouTube clips. The 'Adventure Call' sketches are sheer genius. I'm surprised something like that doesn't exist for real.

Ha, I love this now. Didn't get it at all the first time I saw it (as you can see), but it recently clicked for me. So funny.

I got introduced to this whilst I was working in Glasgow, love the unemployed drunk guy, not really a fan of adventure call though.

It's a crime its only on BBC Scotland.

Ah I thought the gaming crowd would be quite into Adventure Call! It's just like those old role playing games.

One of the funniest things ever

The original webcam version is funnier IMO, but I can't be arsed finding it right now.

Third series commissioned, woo! Hopefully that means the second series will be out on DVD soon-ish as well.

He's done a bit for Brooker's annual Wipe show too. Dunno what it's about.

It really is. I only found out about it because of a friend from Glasgow. Sure, he has a bit of an accent, but you have people like John Bishop slurring his way through shows on the Beeb throughout the Isles. Apparently they're bringing Burnistoun down south, though - perhaps there's potential there for the commissioning editors England side to get involved. In the meantime I'll just be recommending it to my friends myself.

I found Burnistown to be distinctly BBC three-standard sketch show done in a Scottish accent. Certainly not a patch on Limmy.
