Here's a YouTube video of axis of awesome doing their 4 chord song, which was probably their best one.

It's a music video, done in a studio, but is up to date with some current songs and pretty much the same as I saw them. You'll know what I mean when you watch it.

They were singing it on BBC breakfast the other day, I think. Or a local radio station. Anyway I lived them.

Right so, moved to New York for 3 months.

The standard over there is terrible!

Louis CK regularly performs at a club in NY, doesn't he?

Nothing new to anyone, but this made me smile: Mitch Hedberg :D

Got my 14th and 15th gigs soon. Really starting to come along after a slow start of finding my feet. Got a nice Northern chatty style now. I'll post a vid when I have something.

Gigs tomorrow, friday and December 12th in Southampton. May be doing a couple in Manchester as well. See if I can sort any bookings. I'm a bit scared of doing the frog and bucket though. It's a big-arse venue compared to what I'm used to.

Stormed it! Tonight was by far me at my best. No nerves for once. Very happy with the way I'm progressing so far. Hopefully It will continue. :)

Got my last gig of the year on Monday night. I'll be glad to be taking a break from stand-up for a while. There's only so many crappy open spots you can do before needing to recharge the batteries. Think I might leave it until I really want to do it again.

Did my last gig of the year tonight. Duncan Oakley was compering, Paul McCaffrey was the warm-up act and Mark Oliver was headlining.
It was nice to be a support act of such qualified professionals.

    Good stuff.

Really did like Louis C.K's spot at the Beacon Theatre. He's decided to just release it himself and you pay $5 to download or stream it online.

    Yeah, It's great :)

"Guys wonder why girl don't want to fuck all the time like they do, guys want to fuck all the time because they get to fuck a girl, girls have to fuck a guy"

Then goes on to do an impression of a guy fucking which is eerily similar to what I do :$

Important dispatches from the frontline of comedy: http://thecomicscomic.com/2012/07/27/patton-oswalts-letters-to-both-sides-his-keynote-address-at-montreals-just-for-laughs-2012/

A strange game. The only winning move is not to play.

Anyone going to the fringe festival this year? I recommend going to see AAA Batteries (not included) which is both free and hilarious, and Josie Long, who made my face hurt from laughing.

Every girl I ever kissed I was thinking of a pro footballer.

Brendon Burns has done the Louie thing and made his show available for download from his site.

    http://www.brendonburnscomedian.com/

    Worth 4 of anyone's money.

He's been one of my favourite stand ups since seeing him pretty much have a breakdown at Glastonbury about 10 years ago.

    Brap, brap, old chap.

    I heard this tale about Alan Davies years ago;

During a charity gig, where Davies was fiddling with the material of the curtain at the back of the stage, doing no stand up at all - the audience were getting restless and one shouted: "Tell us a joke Alan." He shook his head and as he still had the curtain in his hand someone else shouted: "Wrong material Alan." He then proceeded to storm off the stage and has never been back since.

Turns out to be true :-)

Yes he is. He has a show in the US called Louis which is sort of a riff off Curb, it's good.

Think of how stupid the average person is, and realise half of them are stupider than that
