I do but hardly ever use it and the money would be better used on new tripod and monitor.

Why didn't you crop that? He's in that exact slight off center position that makes it really obvious and slightly annoying.

    Conscious decision?

But he's perfectly framed by the tree trunks, which are equidistant from the borders. Works for me.

If you've not seen the Don McCullin film it's very good indeed.

I've started mucking about in PhotShop as a hobby. Following some tutorials and pulling levers.
Jeeesus there's sooo much that can be done with a photo.

I wish I had enough knowledge so that I could envision something and then make it so.

What are your post-processing skills like?

Been a while since I posted here but managed to get a couple of nice shots of some dart frogs. Had been playing around with manual focus on moving objects, as I couldnt use the focus light in the Sea Life Centre. Which resulted in a camera full of blurry photos but these frogs managed to stay still long enough for me.

After little interest and seeing it looking sad in it's box, I'm keeping the X100 :)

Can highly recommend 3 Legged Thing tripods by the way, stunning bits of engineering.

    Nice one ram.

Just been for a cold walk to visit a location I've been meaning to check out for years.

I still want the AF on the X100 to die in a fire though.

Picked up an old Kodak camera while on a visit to Brighton, not to use it but just because it looks cool.

This thread is tragically quiet these days :(

Oh well, have a derelict greenhouse and nursery anyway. Loving the X10.

Surprised you sold the X100 I thought you loved it! Great shots and shows what a great compact the X10 is.

I'm not posting much because all my shots are crap lately from not getting out there enough. Just moved to Northern Ireland and have noticed a fair amount of abandoned big houses knocking about though. It's just getting the nerve up to go and be nosy!

Here's a shot of my cat in the meantime with some stripey shadows.

It might be a bit dark as I'm doing this on a Sony Bravia at the moment o_O

Looks fine to me on this crappy TN matrix. Mind you, since it's mostly pure black and white there's not much to go on. Well done on getting the DoF spot on though.

Nth didn't sell his X100 - he didn't get much interest.

I tried again Mal and got a good price for it. Bought X10 new for 282 and have 200 left over :)

Biggest problem for me is that the process of moving pictures to my PC ( a mac really ) and then onto some cloud service where I can share them seems like the middle ages all of a sudden.

Maybe I should get one of those Eye-Fi cards.

The other problem is that 99% of my pictures are of my kids.
