Mother of christ, this is probably the most anger inducing thing I know. I know why they do it, it's because they never studied Latin, and so a word like Tenet wouldn't make much sense, but also because they are obviously so poorly read that they have never seen repeated correct use in English.
So they substitute with tenant, as if to say that "your core topic - i.e., the place where people would like to rent out - is on x, y, z". It's so stupid, and yet it continues.
