Chulula tastes lovely, quite thin but tastes very much of peppers. (Sell it at Asda).

Also: Sounds a bit different. Cant get a takeaway in Hull without this stuff on. And it's ace.

on hot sauce...anyone found a better one than Econa? Haven't tried to many after i found it apart from tabasco which i think doesn't have enough taste in the hotness/taste ratio

Frootsy Creole Pepper Sauce is made with scotch bonnet chillies and is hotter than their hot pepper sauce (which is pretty hot).

it does sound a bit different, just looked up ingredients for chicken salt...never realised it had actual chicken extract in it http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Chicken_salt

only found it in the UK/London once at my local Jumbucks pie shop...fecking rip-off price too as the guy that imports it does it on the sly on his brothers prawn boat or something silly

don't have any Asda's near by but will keep Chulula in the memory bank if i ever am!

Nail on the head. Goes well with absolutely everything. I'm a particular fan of slapping it on toast by itself.

I hate ketchup. It actually makes me feel ill. I think it's the weird smell.

I like burger relish. There's one brand that does a sweet onion one, can't remember the brand but it's lovely.

A sad lack of mint sauce in this thread, it's the only point of roast lamb.

If I had to pick my absolute fave it'd have to be HP sauce.

Closely followed by Salad cream, mustard (wholegrain or dijon), mayo then ketchup. Oh, and sweet chilli. I like them all really but HP is king :)

Try it on beans on toast if you haven't already - it rocks! (but makes my wife heave! :))

I only need to say HENDERSON'S RELISH. It's the Yorkshire balsamic that you can eat with everything.

LB, you really are a massive geek.
