All credit to England, they have been very good in the second half. Within 7 points now, so nervous times for the Bokke!

True! What a scrum! And now only 4 points. Some cracking tests today.

That was a poor passage of play.

Jesus christ. Did South Africa see the score at half time and decide to put all their money on England?

Awesome comeback by the English here.

Lots of mistakes now. South Africa are definitely rattled but England also making mistakes at crucial times. Cracking stuff though!

    Gosh, 60-nil.

That'll be 2 of the home nations white washed, one more probably to follow and a Scottish clean sweep. Who'd have thunk it 4 months ago.

I know sportsmen and in particular captains are right in being diplomatic when doing media interviews but this evening hearing the new Irish captain Jamie Heaslip say "that what makes the Six Nations a great tournament is that everyone is in with a shout" made me cringe. Does he honestly believe that Scotland, Italy and Ireland have a shout of winning this year?

I'm not feeling particularly confident about Wales this 6 nations - let's see how the Ireland Wales match goes.

And can England repeat the all black busting formula?

Could be some cracking matches this year.

In with a shout of winning any game on the day perhaps. Scotland are usually good to give someone a scare, Italy have it in them to beat anyone and Ireland are a tough call at home.

I'm tempted to have a punt on France sneaking it this year, with England a close second.

Ireland have an honest chance. I wouldn't give the Scots or the Italians a realistic shout. But saying any of the other four could win the title is not far fetched.

Heh, that'll teach me for not checking before putting forth my genius. Kind of surprised though as they only have 2 home matches and French sides traditionally don't travel well.

I think Wales will struggle this year. Three away games, although being home to England and Ireland will help. France in Paris is going to be all kinds of tough! And if Italy have a good game against Scotland, which they may well do, then they'll have their tails up for the Wales game.

Who's the second favourite after France? England, presumably.

Still - ought to be a cracking tournament!

    Hoping Ireland beat the French!

Blood and thunder from the Welsh. Tidy. Not a pretty game to watch but some extreme defense on the line.

    Loved it.

‎"And what rough beast, thinking its hour come round at last,
Slouches towards the Millenium Stadium to be Grand Slam born?
Only to be met with ferocious Dragon flame,
Realizing, too late, the horror of chariot wheels afire,
    Burning, burning, breaking apart..."

What a cracking finale we have in store - pleased that the Millenium Stadium has the roof closed for this one as Wales need to score tries if they are to retain the Championship title.

It's going to be bone cracking stuff out there with Lions places on the line also.

    Happy days :)

As ever, I don't really mind who wins any of the games, but with Italy being so tidy in defence last week, and arguably making better ground plays than England at times, they're in with a chance of upsetting Ireland, although if the weather stays fine I think I'd favour Ireland overall to win.

England - Wales does promise to be a crunching match, and with the tournament to play for, I'm hoping it's a good one, and not an uneasy stalemate. I think both teams need to step up from what they've done, certainly from last week, but as TOOTR says, being dry should at least mean we get more of a running game. Tantalising!

Hopefully I won't have consumed all the beer by the time France/Scotland comes around - if France have remembered how to play after their draw to Ireland, and Scotland come hoping to get a win for their pride, that also promises to be a bit of a corker.

So long as they are quality games, I'll be a happy camper.

Agree with all that agparrot. Really hoping for good games overall, but really would love an Italy upset to start off with. Of course, there is no doubting the highlight of the day and with the roof being closed, I am really excited at the prospect of a titanic England/Wales clash. I know they have been closely matched (mostly) over the past 10 years or so, but this is one occasion where I can honestly not tell you who is favourite. I guess Wales maybe just because of home advantage but that could add pressure to them as well. As you say, as long as they are quality games then it will be a Saturday well spent!

Unrelated to the biggy, I'm genuinely pleased for Italy. I still remember when they came into the competition and were getting utterly hammered every time they played.

Seconded. If Parisse was from the UK then the Lions number 8 would not be in question.

Still buzzing off that Welsh win. Just epic.

Great game. Well done, lads winning the Six Nations second year in a row. The atmosphere must have been amazing. I remember Cardiff when there's an international on, such a great atmosphere.

I thought Italy have come a long way since they've entered the tournament. They're shaping up well and it'll be such a strong tournament when they're fully up to scratch.

Still, what a win for Wales. Yes!

Someone tell Graham Rowntree that complaining about the ref after a 27 point hammering is only piling on even more humiliation.

@TOOTR exactly. This really angers me; no wonder England end up feeling like everyone's got it in for them. We practically ask for it. Wales won because they were the better side. Congratulations to them. Don't piss on their achievement Mr Rowntree.

    Only 2 outside halfs?

    Madness.

Other than that it looks like a very strong squad.
