PC DOS adventure. Not FMV based (from what I can remember - may have had some FMV for intro and outro though), but used photographic sprites. Very dark, horror-ish game, effectively concerned with superheroes who were cunts. Possibly vampires too.

Oh, and it had tits in.

    Realms of the Haunting?
  • Deleted user 29 January 2009 21:59:31
No, not RotH. This was straight point and click adventure.

I do remember it was stupidly easy to die.

Dunno really, I take it the phantasmagoria games were total FMV based games?
  • Deleted user 29 January 2009 22:02:46
Yeah. Wasn't by a well known company, I don't think.

For years I've been trying to remember a game I used to play, but I don't recall enough details to do an effective google search. Can anyone help? What I (think I) remember:

    - 2d puzzle platformer
    - probably single screen
    - players controlled wizards
    - it had either a co-op or versus mode. I think the wizards were red and blue.
    - the sprites were tiny - a bit like 'Benefactor'
    - think it was for PC
    - it wasn't Enemy Mine

Single-screen puzzle platformer with little wizards makes me think of Solomon's Key, but I don't think that had multiplayer.

Solomon's Key would have been my first guess, too, but I believe the game in question is actually the (rather unimaginatively named) Wizard.

Hmm. It was a lot like Wizard, but I think it was for PC (possibly Amiga). It might have come on the cover of PC Gamer or somesuch.

Looks like Wizard, but with better graphics, and the wizards themselves were wee. And there were traps. That's all I remember.

I came into this thread, read the first post, thought "that's Noctropolis", and then remembered I was the one who made it.

And naughty mrpon, linking to downloads of games that are still sold.

(nb - get the Silmarils Collection that has that and Transarctica, for Transarctica is ace)
