...fuck sake, just bought FC3! Vortex can you buy half the games we want, I will buy the other half and we will swap them ;)
    :)

Y'know, that might work quite well!

Just seen Borderlands 2 at shop to for under 20 I didnt want to buy anything more this year. I still have unopened games but when i missed out when Game were selling it for this price a few weeks ago i regretted not getting it.

TBH this is the way I should buy games wait till they have dropped in price and then buy them

Empire film mag subscription at 39.99 for the year and they throw in FarCry 3. Rude not to?

Glad I dallied before taking out the sub with AC3 now. FarCry probably more up my street, tbh.

2013 will be the year I stick to buying just a few and finally getting stuck into the games sitting in my man drawer or renting the rest...unless Xbox 720 launches of course ;)

    I aim to buy:
    Gears
    Bioshock
    Southpark

This year I went totally insane. Worst year EVER.

    My life is busier than its ever been and because I have a little bit of money my game-deprived brain keeps splashing out in the hopes that buying games means playing games. Which it doesn't. Pity you can't buy packets of time off the shelves along with your games D;

I've bought about 20 Vita games (including ps1 games) I've about 5 cellophane wrapped console games (I've never left games completely unplayed like this), my OH has had to buy shelves to move her book library because my game library was consuming all our living space and I seem to have this single handed need to support the ailing games industry by myself ;(

Man I really wish work would let me take more time off.

Weeps for unloved, unopened, unexplored gaming goodness.

    - Also bought a 3ds and an iPad :/

Doing well. Haven't bought a game all year \o/

Seriously though, I'm quite keen to actually make good again on the backlog. Including the Vita one this year too! This time last year of course I didn't have one, nor a PS3... But PS+ should do me well for content.

    So, to the 360:

Skyrim - finished main quest but loads of side content & DLC to play
    Borderlands 2 + season pass
    Darksiders 2
    Tales of Vesperia
Bully (couldn't resist for 9 from GoD - paid with existing points)
Walking Dead 1-5 (all 5 parts for 800 points? Yes please)
    Saints Row the Third
    Mark of the Ninja
    Spelunky
    Torchlight
... and a handful of other XBLA titles

    Vita (all to finish!):

    Rayman
    Disgaea 3
    VLR
    Persona 4 Golden
    New Little Kings Story
    MGS collection
    LBP
    Strangers Wrath
    and probably more /o\

Plus countless PSP titles too :-/

    Don't get far cry 3!
Unless you like saving a load of surfbrocunts as a surfbrocunt yourself :p
I made a New Years resolution not to impulse buy. But the darkness 2 for a 10er just pulled me in :/ on the first day of the year! Didn't even last a day...

Well that was crap :) 84 games finished or done with but due to sales and indie bundles 80 back in. Still most was on trade so didn't spend too much. Will try again this year!

Bought Fez on XBLA yesterday but going to be a lot better than last year. Going to try and hold off buying a retail game till The new Gears and Bioshock come out. Again it's getting silly lack of time more than money is the issue.

Mass Effect Trilogy - Playthrough as Femshep
Skyrim - Dragonborn plus other side quests
Assassins Creed 3 - this game is huge
Far Cry 3 - to start
Halo 4 - Spartan Ops missions

Because I worked over most of Christmas I've just booked four days off work now everyone else is coming back from leave so I am hoping that in that time I can finish off:

    FarCry 3
    Xcom Enemy Unkown
    Puzzle Quest
    The first ZOE.

Only when these are done I shall allow myself to buy a new game.

I've got around 20 games on my to play list, so this year I'm going to operate a 2 out 1 in rule. Hopefully this should shift a few off the list!

My new years resolution is to buy no games this year, other than the new Amnesia and Bioshock Infinite of course ;) Simply got WAY too many games in my backlog, so its finally time to actually PLAY them instead of admiring/despising my fairly large Steam collection. I'm currently enjoying the shit out of Last Remnant on PC, it's ace.

I really need to do the same, unfortunately I've got Anarchy Reigns coming next week and I'm buying Spec Ops The Line off a mate too!

I'll never get my Orc looking the same again.

I'm down for no games this year as well. My exceptions:

    - Playstation Plus Subscription freebies
    - Humble Android Bundles

So that's 2 games a month with a potential extra 12-15 to worry about. My goal this year is to sink time into stuff I've already got and try and clear the baclog a bit. The likelihood of it even making a dent is slim but I'm looking forward to getting a sense of accomplishment from it :-)

I'm just hoping to buy Hitman HD trilogy this year.

I went on a mini game buying spree just before Christmas so hopefully that'll keep me going for a while! I have about 10+ PS2 games, and 10+ 360 games (not to mention additional Xbox arcade titles) to keep me going through the year. I need to get through the backlog!

Not buying a new game all year is a bit daft, so I've decided to not buy one until GTA V comes out.

Having no system on which to play GTA5 makes it *really* easy :-)

I have decided not to buy anymore games until I have finished a shitload of games from my backlog or Tomb Raider is available for less than 20 or Dragon Age 3 comes out. Whichever comes first really.

I'm not going to get anything new until GTAV.

Unless something I missed last year is on offer.

Or there's games coming out I forgotten about.

It's ok to get games from last year though, isn't it? They've just been on backorder.

GTA was an example, yours could be [insert good game here ]

Generally I can wait when it comes to single player games, but I struggle if it's a multiplayer game. No doubt I'll have BF4 on pre order...

Really struggling already NOT to buy FTL at 50% on GOG right now.

    I need an intervention.

Also I am only going to get Bioshock Infinite this year. Truly.

Everybody should just calm down a little bit and have a nice cup of tea.

    I am beyond help.

Was tempted into several unwise purchases in the Steam sale - including Torchlight 2, Mark of the Ninja, Hotline Miami and Witcher 2.

If that wasn't bad enough, also bought Borderlands 2 (PC version - it was under 15!) and Valkyria Chronicles (12 on the PS3) from that Amazon.

Seriously, my best hope of actually doing my collection justice is 5 years or so of house arrest.

    BUY!
    BUY!
    BUY!

It's not brilliant, but it's one of those games you *will* play, so it's better than buying and not playing at all e.g. half of each and everyones steam libraries.

BI is the only game on the horizon for me too, unless I get a better PC or laptop in which case Company of Heroes might be too tempting to pass.
