This. As much as I would like to see Merc/McLaren run at the front this year, having Williams with Massa chasing podiums would be awesome.

Alonso would probably just disintegrate with rage if Massa won the championship. I have a feeling rosberg might be the guy this year

    Renault's "litany" of issues

Pretty stark. Aren't they all meant to be homologated by Melbourne?

No wonder Ecclestone is so keen to have double points at the end of the season - knowing how shit it's looking for Red Bull and his boy-crush Vettel at the start.

And weren't Renault the ones who insisted on these new engines in the first place?:lol:

I'm not surprised. It's his way or no way, I think. I just couldn't see him working for Ron Dennis, or working 'with' anyone.

I watched some of the fame stuff the other day and the way he was talking then I was more surprised it was announced as news that he was retiring, because it was fairly obvious from the way he was talking that he was done

Bloody good show that was. Looking forward to the next episode and the Super Touring era. First got into motorsport in the mid 90s and that was my main interest

Bah, forgot it started today. The Mclaren/Merc fight on at the moment is a little bit special though.

The sound and fire spitting alone makes it a million times better than the WRC today.

Group B and C really were the pinnacle of awe inspiring motoring.

/drive are doing a 'Inside Audi Quattro' thing at the moment. Worth watching if that's your bag. Click.

The same channel is doing a 'My life as a rallyist' documentary also.

TrackIR is pretty cool for that type of game, but I think the best rally game at the moment is probably one of the Dirt games, so that's a problem.

The world is going mad. Me? I'm doing fine.

I'm tired of the Drift series tbh, if only Dice would make another rallisport challenge.

Really enjoyed the Bathurst 12 hour last night. Definitely one I'll be watching again in the future.

If you want a rally game, Richard Burns Rally is still the pinnacle. Updated with mods regularly as well

RBR is what, 12 years old now? It's shocking that nobody has taken a gamble on doing a proper rally sim since then. It is good but it badly shows its age.

Rally games were as common as shooters back in the 90's!

It sounds like the ideal project for a kickstarter to me... I would certainly back it.

I can also confirm that Dirt 2/3 with trackir in cockpit view looks amazing, shame they removed cockpit view from Dirt showdown since apparently nobody uses it anyway. Wooah...that's awesome, Dude.

Wasn't there a new rbr game in the works, or was that just a dream? I'm sure I read about a kickstarter or something

There's a trophy trucks kick starter which I believe has been backed and the demo is superb. Probably the best force feedback in an off road game. Doesn't half shake your desk/rig to pieces though.

Edit: nope not back yet and looks like it's struggling https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/devotid/d-series-off-road-driving-simulation-for-pc

Worst kept secret of all time that one!

Has more of an association with rally for me, but I'm sure it will look nice

I think I've seen you guys mention it in this thread before, but I was just excited to see the big websites semi-officially confirming it.

You're right though, rallying and in particular those Martini Lancia's are the first thing I think of as well. The sportscar Porsche branding always looked nice too.
