Guess who got fastest lap today.

    That's right, Mark Webber :D
Funny really, you'd think with all that pace available in the car that third would have been quite do-able.
To be fair, he did say the car was overheating in traffic. Last lap you can throw caution to the wind and vaporise your brake fluid by the end of it, doesn't really matter.

Cubby didn't know how to turn off sigs!

Webber got screwed when his front wing broke. He seemed to have Alonso covered up until that point.

Doesn't really make sense though, would a faulty front wing really cause overheating like that? The pace was clearly in the car.

Overheating was when he was behind Rosberg, front wing was broken after he'd passed him.

I thought Webber got the fastest lap?

He did. But some people don't like Vettel (trying for it).

I don't think teams would care about that really.

Depends on the team. Some have a very, very tightly controlled PR front.

In which case they would school them in media, no F1 team would refuse a driver because he moans a bit.

He'll never get a drive at McLaren or Ferrari certainly.

Because of his talent or because of his attitude? McLaren already have a right moaner driving for them and Ferrari have had their share too, Alonso was very different a few years back. I don't think you can be certain of these things.

Everyone's a moaner until they age and settle into a position.

Ooh, just slipped out of the top ten in the predictor. I got most of the right finishers, but not necessarily in the right order.

Biggest score I've seen in the EG league, so far.

Things suddenly seem pretty equal at Torro Rosso so I guess they'll have to sack both drivers at the end of the year ;)

I hope Hulkenburg's move to Sauber does lead to a Ferrari drive as planned otherwise he'll be kicking himself for moving there. Wonder how Sauber and Williams got it so wrong this year compared to last?

If I was Pirelli I'd tell F1 to fuck right off.

I'm not sure of Hembery's point really. Surely it would be hypocritical if they only complained when they were losing?

The situation hasn't changed at all in the last few weeks. The tyres are still like marshmallows, it's just that the last two tracks haven't really shown up their weaknesses.

I thought they were supposed to be in a lot of trouble. I'll guess that this business has once again shown that Ross Brawn knows F1 rules better than the people who make F1 rules. The flimsiest of wristslaps for making the FIA look silly, and that's that.

All came down to whether they had permission, Merc argument was that they thought they did, looks like the QC believed them.

Given that, it seems a sensible punishment.
