    I doubt I'll manage to fluke a result like that again, as I was propping up the league table for the first three races. Still, it's proof to all the kids out there that anything is possible... ;)

    The teams were all provided with a set of 2013-specification tyres to try at last year's season-ending Brazilian Grand Prix.

    Those who are against a change argue that all the teams have had the same data from Pirelli and that it is up to them to adapt their cars to suit the tyres.
    This pretty much sums up why there's no room for whining here IMO.

    Lotus and Ferrari have done a fantastic job, aided by the 2 best drivers in the world using the tools they have at their disposal better than anyone else.

    The rest can fuck off with their moaning frankly.

    Hang about - I'm a bit confused. Does this mean that tyres don't normally change throughout a season? i.e. a 'hard' tyre at race #1 is the same as a 'hard' tyre at race #20?

    If so, then I'm quite happy with things as they are.

    No, they're usually tweaked over the season, just not majorly.

    Also amusing to see Ferrari trying to take the high ground given all their dummy spitting over the years. :)

    I think they certainly change less now than they used to. Especially as Pirelli have a set target for tyre performance

    I'm watching the 2011 Monaco gp, I'm watching thinking button might just be able to overtake Alonso and Vettel on his 3 stop strategy!! I might switch it off now believing that safety car never happened!

    Did you hear about the prizes Radio 2 gave out? They held an auction for 5 couples to each travel to the GP in some Mercedes Super Car, start/finish line seats, top bidder getting a grid walk as Ecclestone's guest. Raised over 1m for Children in Need, fantastic. Sir Tom Hunter was one winner, can't remember who out-bid him though. Another Scot.

    That sounded amazing, they also got to go the Mclaren tech centre and have a go in the simulator amongst other things. What were they bidding for that? One woman bid as a surprise gift for here husband.

    12 cars parked at ste devote, lad in second outbraked himself, went straight into the barriers giving most the field nowhere to go.
