@Bremenacht I've decided to set it once at the start of the league and then only tweak it as I see the season development strategy's move around.

p.s gotta love Skysports F1 live streams across the internets :) saving me hundreds a year

Yup, everyone can have an off period. That said, look at any of Webber's results vs any of his teammates. He's a nice guy, and a solid racer but a journeyman, always has been.

He's had many chances to prove he's got what it takes, and every time it's been excuses rather than results.

2011 excepted, Webber has given him a run for his money up to the Summer Break. 2009 was tight, and think he was ahead in 2010 and 2012.

He probably should have won in 2010 but he had a weak end to the season and an appalling final race.

I don't believe this team order statement anyway. It'll change mid-season, when Vettel has Alonso or whoever too close for comfort.

Wouldn't be any point, Webber would tell them to stick it, as would Vettel.

yeah it was quite sad to see him capitulate at the end of the 2010 season, though I think vettel generally had been more unlucky with that brittle car through the season.

the red bull thing seems quite strange to me. basically saying that they can't deal with it properly so are just dropping it, could be interpreted as a show of weakness by rivals. good for us though....

I'm starting to agree with some of the drivers re the tyres. Looks suspiciously like another tip toe, conservative race :-(

Anyone watch BTCC? I used to be obsessed with it when I was a kid untill 2001, when it was ruined. But I watched it last weekend and it seems like its getting better.

Im pretty fed up with all this Webber vs Vettel crap now.

Mark Webber is an average driver who didn't deserve to win the race. Sebastien was the faster so he overtook him. Simple as that. Stop crying Mark and just sit there until the end of they year where you will be packed off to some mid table team.

There is a reason why Mark Webber has done fuck all in over 4 years of driving by far the most complete car on the grid.
There is a reason why Vettel is on a long term contract and your on a year by year contract.
There is a reason why Vettel consistently outperforms you in qualifying and in the race.

Its because your an average driver. Your not a winner and everyone in F1 and red bull know it.
Your a Felippe Massa, your an Eddie Irvine. Your basically a Nu 2 driver and always will be. Thats because after years and years you have proven to be consistently slower then your team mate.

Jesus Mark just let it go mate. You could have won that race but your still not going to win the championship because basically, your a bit shit.
Vettel is the better driver and always has been. The stats speak for themselves.
Just shut up, pick up your fantastic wages and look forward to driving for Marussia next year.

F1 with zero cars on the track for half of the 20 minute qualifying session?
I thought the whole point of changing Qualifying Rules was to stop this sort of thing from happening!

    What a joke.

    Well done Lewis.
Kimi and Lewis next to each other on the starting row for tomorrow. That sounds like fun.

Awesome effort. Although I'm really unsure that's the right decision for tomorrow, I reckon Lewis could have put it right in there on the primes.

Let's hope Vettel put a nice big flat spot on those mediums which he needs for the race ;-)

Nice one Lewis. I set my predictor last night, very late, before bed, and for some reason put Massa for pole. What was I thinking?

Oh look, a problem with Webbers car, how convenient for RBR. At least he wont clash with team principle Vettel now.....

Hope they've got a spare front wing or two for Vettel, he tends to need them when he's not on pole.

Got a feeling that it's Alonso that will win this one though, not Lewis or Kimi.

I'm a bit gobsmacked at Mercedes and Lewis. Think I may have to chow down some of the things I wrote last season. Wonder if they can keep it up? Top times in each Q too, I see.

Hamilton very very smooth on that pole lap as well, hopefully the tyres will be ok for a bit more than 5 laps. I think the race will finish with vettel and button charging through the order on new tyres 2-3 seconds faster than anyone else. I don't think ham will be in the lead going into turn 1, unless Kimi blocks off alonso

That was a properly strange decision by Red Bull. I know they were unlikely to get pole but they had a good shot at top 4.
