My name is missing from that list! Am surprised my tactic of leaving the predictions as is after 3 weeks didn't work!

It's all to play for for us top-tier teams. I hope the rest of you have some pay drivers lined up for next season.

Having spent all season on top karma and sod's law dictates that I'll finish 4th.

A close table like that really adds to the fun of the final race doesn't it?

I love Darren Heath, despite him being the world's most pretentious man. It's a tricky thing being an 'arty' sports photographer I reckon. He is basically taking exactly the same photos every year

Just because he has the vision to take photos that are different from the same old ones you see in the sports pages every day doesn't make him pretentious IMO.

Having chatted to him a bit on Twitter he's not pretentious at all, just passionate about what he does. One thing he's bad at though is hiding his dislike of Schumacher ;)

That happened to me on the TDF2012 prediction league, was on top for the whole 3 week tour till the last stage >_< Thought i had won and all, but they took a bit longer to update the site than usual

Of course, it if rains too hard then Alonso literally can't win, no matter where he places (half points if it doesn't make it past 75% distance).

I can only imagine the complaints that they should have run it if that happens.

A real shame that Kobayashi is out of a drive for next year, the need for drivers to take money to teams is ridiculous and the sport needs to sort costs out so that it goes back to being a formula for only the very best drivers.

    Sauber PR

Kovalinen as well seems not to be able to pin a seat down. And senna.

Senna problem, or pastor is this chap who is there reserve driver, often his been quicker than both of them in testing, friday pratice. Senna been more consistant than pastor as well, despite his win, which i guess goes along way in this sport.

I think the only seats left now are at Force India and Caterham. Bottas is surely in at Williams to replace Bruno who I can see at Caterham due to his cash mountain. I'd like to see Jaime at FI to give the Scottish dullard another beating :D

@Nth Given from the 1970's all the way to the late 1990's the sport always had lots of pay drivers, or drivers who came with major backing, the likelihood of that is slim to none.

If you cut costs too much you take the development out of it, but if it's too expensive you drive teams away. Tricky balancing act.

Very true. I find that I'm more annoyed by the amount of pointless bollocks he talks though.

Apart from that prick EJ I'm really loving the BBC coverage this year, when I have to watch the Sky coverage I end up shouting at the screen.

It's nothing to do with his photos. Anyone who says "one" as much as he does is de facto pretentious in my view. He's my favourite photographer I hasten to add

    From Autosport:

"In fact, Vettel has two hopes here: that he can set his habitual pole and disappear off into the distance, the only man able to see properly where he's going, with all the spray behind him.

Or that the race is so wet it gets called before three-quarter distance in which case half points would be awarded and even if Alonso wins and Vettel non-scores, Vettel still takes the title.

All very much still to play for both contenders. It's likely to be dramatic, whichever way it unfolds."

If that half points scenario happened, Alonso would lose title by half a point.

I think Hamilton is a lock for pole here and their race pace seems a few tenths up on the Red Bull too. So at best I think he'll probably be hoping for a safety car start and for him to let Hamilton scamper away whilst he maintains a solid second.

We'll be able to judge by Hamilton I reckon. When he's going backwards through corners he might suggest the race is called... though probably not.
