The face melting still annoys me as much as it did when I first saw it, it's terrible.

    This space left intentionally blank.

Nah, they'll add some CGI ferrets or something. If you're going to fuck it up, fuck it up with CGI. It's the Lucas way.

Hopefully the rotten cg is kept to the abominable fourth instalment.

    Film 4 is good tonight.
Madness of King George has already started.
Big Trouble in Little China at 9 - should need no introductions, just popcorn.
Near Dark at 10:50 - awesome modern vampire roadtrip from Katherine Bigelow and the Cameron Allstars.
    Naked at 12:45 Brutal brilliance.

A strange game. The only winning move is not to play.

Shit - that is an awesome line-up, Local.

I'll tune in when Big Trouble starts. I keep telling all of these Twi-hards that Near Dark is the best vampire film of all time (well, joint-first with The Lost Boys, natch).

Godzilla is on. Everyone should watch that. It's brilliant.it's an American film but get this. There's a Frenchman in it who isn't a complete cunt.

    Also, MONSTERZLOL

You seem to have made a horrible mistake and put Near Dark instead of Let The Right One In, which is clearly the best vampire film ever made (after The Lost Boys) :)

Oh, good shout - I'd forgotten all about that one.

The Monster Squad is also up there with the best.

No you sir are guilty of the error. I believe you will find that Near Dark is a seminal vampire film, the pre-cursor to many of the subsequent knowing post-modern vampire films, like indeed, the worthy 'Let the right one in'

Big shout here for 30 days of night which is a hugely underrated vampire flick.

Monster Squad and Near Dark have aged badly IMO.

When you can't see the angles on the wall you're in trouble.

Near Dark is much better than Lost Boys IMO, toss up between that and Interview With The Vampire for my favourite vampire movie. FFC's Dracula was a major disappointment for me it has to be said, thought it would be awesome (Gary Oldman ftw) but I found it to be pretty average.

On a side note that girl in Near Dark is fit as, seems she dropped off the radar after that movie though!
