Plus when people get thrown through the air by explosives you can see the jump pads they bounced off of.

Love is ok though, not Moon good by any stretch of the imagination, but it's worth a watch.

Purple Rain is on channel 5.... Is this all the hype or not? I admit, Prince was a very talented singer, I understand the charm in his music but I'm not a fan... Look, just tell me it's a crap movie so I can feel validated.

@pacrifice yes Purple Rain is a terrible film but it is also a wonderfully camp vanity project that I think is brilliant. Is duality a thing in pacrifice's world? The Purple Rain part of the film is genuinely pretty ace though, helps it is a good song.

Purple Rain is like Citizen Kane compared to Prince's other efforts at cinema.

There's a certain ghastly appeal to watching an ego-driven vanity-project, but Purple Rain is no Trapped in the Closet. Watching that almost killed me. I got such uncontrollable hysterics I was literally struggling to take a breath. Only time that's ever happened to me. It should have a health warning on it, IMHO. Would watch again, though.
