Registered 11 years ago"Gangstas in Space" is much better than Genkibowl, it's still not the longest of things but these are actual missions rather than additional activities, your character has his/her proper voice acting* rather than cheaply covering it up with a suit vocoder, the missions aren't too bad and the new vehicles are rather decent, the Aegean is great for flying around is nice and maneuverable. One of the opponents is bloody annoying in that it's an instant kill if it hits you though.
One thing to consider as these are missions if you miss any achievements you'll have to use an earlier save as you can't replay them, I'm missing out on one from the first and one from the second.
Worth buying for 500 odd points? Hmm possibly, if you're not a season pass holder I'd suggest that maybe waiting for it to go on sale wouldn't be a bad idea as it won't last more than an hour or so. However the Aegean really is nice if you like to fly around and tempt fate.
*The Cockney voice when "in character" is a terrible actor, which is quite funny no idea about the other voices. This space left intentionally blank.

Registered 6 years agoIs the season pass worth it? On PSN it's £16 but the 2 main DLC's are £4.50 each. -

No. The first DLC was okay and fun but missable. I'm still playing the second one.

Registered 6 years agoWait for the inevitable discount. Gangsters in Space is well made, features "real" missions, offers a nice new setting and voice acting, but two missions, composed of the usual mainstays for £4.50 / €5.50 is outrageous. It's even shorter than the previous DLC.
Edit : Or what Whizzo said.

Registered 7 years agoI just played Gangsters in Space and thought it was really good, decent variety of missions, proper missions with all the trappings. I'm not too sure about the value proposition since I have the pass and had already bought it essentially but I would remind people that length does not necessarily = equal value. Please don't use the delete button, think of the children.

Registered 4 years agoWell, no, agreed. But at the same time, re-skinning a vehicle from the core game and recycling the same old mission structure for 40 minutes isn't exactly worth £5. Better than Genki Bowl but still fairly tame..

Registered 7 years agoThere's two new vehicles and yes they do both control the same as current vehicles but re-skin implies just a texture change, they are different models too and the Aegean's big gun is a homing missile thingy where as the v-tol has a big ol' laser.
Point taken though, there's nothing drastically different here. Please don't use the delete button, think of the children.

Registered 8 years agoindeed it is, been pretty terrible alround. From my point of view I'm not that bothered since I got the season pass thing and the thing game for a total of £15 but for everyone else I would be rather angry at the poor quality of the DLC."If we hit that bullseye the rest of the dominoes will fall like a a house of cards, checkmate." Registered 11 years agoI thought it was all right for what it was but not enough for what it cost. The whole DLC situation for SR3 has turned out exactly the same as it was for SR2, piddling amounts of content for too high a price.
If you're bothering to keep an eye on this thread MrTHQ, I won't bother in future and you've damaged the brand with this piss poor season pass and the other pathetic DLC.

Registered 9 years agoWell what a fucking suprise. they do a season pass money grab and then release shit DLC. (I predicted this)
I havent touched this game since the awful genkibowl as that DLC felt like the devs flipping me the bird and grinning.99 problems and being ginger is one

Registered 3 years agoThis is a bit great. Didn't like either of the first two as they felt kinda cheap and buggy, but this plays really well. -
Picked this up yesterday pre owned not bothered about playing online and its a real blast! Great fun and a welcome change to the more serious games. The gameplay, driving and combat is spot on to my taste.

Registered 10 years agoJust finished the main quest and I must say I very much enjoyed almost all of it. Just what I expected really: mindless silly fun.
Clocked in at just over 20 hours with about half of the sandboxy stuff done. I reckon I could get another 10 hours out of it before it becomes very repetitive, though I doubt I will.
Some of the mechanics are a bit dodgy IMO, as was the difficulty curve. And ANOTHER game that puts in effing zombies for no good reason??? The living dead are truly taking over apparently, except through modern media rather than going around gnawing on people. -

Registered 6 years agoI started earlier this week on 360, and must have died ten times just from getting into a car. Mostly quick hijacks, but one time I just got in through the door and sorta bent forwards and died. Usually no combat, no other possible cause of death.
I'm pretty sure this is a bug..?
Otherwise quite a solid game. I'm just past big naked guy and find it a bit SR2.5 so far, but that's not so bad for me.
Just a shame that glitch keeps happening. Actually makes me not want to get into a car. :/ I'm quite tall... maybe my head is bumping on the roof and killing me or something? -
Does it make a difference if you open the door or fly through the windows?
