If the L42 guys are still looking for buyers, then please count me in!

I'm still having trouble with my Internet connection at the mo, so please PM the details through to me, otherwise I'll forget to check this thread.

Puzzle Agent is really good. Nice art, nice music, some humour and puzzles which don't involve inventory trial and error. I recommend it so far.

I've been playing a bit of Alpha Protocol as it was only a fiver and I thought it might be worth a bash. Two conclusions so far, the camera is fucking annoying and the hacking mini-game is irritating. I'm sure I'll get used to both at some point.

I'm looking forward to seeing what these indie games are a like. I read the Recettear review and it sounds like it could be very good indeed.

Stuck an hour in Recettear tonight and can see it'll be a grower. Presentation is basic, but it's got charm and the basic mechanics are potential gaming crack.

The hacking is actually great fun when you get used to it, at least I think so. It does have its flaws, but if you can deal with them it really is a great game. It gets a lot better after the prologue, so stick with it!

Join in the AP thread if you like, good place to get some hints and tips if you're stuck or have questions about the game. We'll have you converted soon enough ;)

Protocol's hacking mini-game reminds me of Paradroid and that ain't no bad thing.

Another day another Indie pack tonight i'll be getting. With the price cheaper than the one or two games I want in each on their own it's just forcing my hand!

The indie pack's awesome, although it's not as good as the one before which had world of goo, machinarium and osmos.

I thought Machinarium was absolutely brilliant. I really hope they make another one in the same style.

I tried out Gish last night, seems like it could be okay but also seemed somewhat annoying.

    Thanks Rusty - PM sent.

We're still looking for one other person to join, too - surely there's someone on here who'd like an amazingly cheap copy of L4D2?

Would have went for ld2 if I hadn't guot the double pack around Halloween.

Hadn't played either of them before that but I recommend them very very highly. At just under 3 quid for the second one you can't go wrong.

If anyone wanted to team up for the dawn of war 2 pack, when/if it turns up I would be up for that if there were enough of us.

Why don't they just put L4D2 on sale for 2.50? Then everyone who was going to buy it in a 6 pack would buy it anyway, plus lots of other individual buyers too...

Yea, I'd have bought it on my own for 2.50.

Any room left on the L4D2 list of people?

I think they are hoping that putting games into packs means people will talk their friends into buying it to get the discount.

God, these sales are the work of the devil.

Las year (Xmas sale) I bought stuff like Hearts of Iron III, Anno 1404, Broken Sword (all three), the Brothers In Arms trilogy, Devil May Cry 4, Europa Universalis III, Freedom Force, Grand Ages Rome, the id SuperPack, Medeival Total War, Rome Total War, Mirror's Edge, the STALKER games, Civ IV Complete, Silent Hunter III, The Star Wars Pack, The Tom Clancy games, X-Com (5 games).

Guess what? I haven't even downloaded and installed any of them, never mind playing the fucking things.

Fuck this, I'm sitting this one out...

This year I've had no money, thanks to last year steam xmas sales. I may as well give Gabe Newell my credit card.
