I just noticed that Humble Bundle are doing a flash 'rebundle' of their Codemasters one, for one day only. Nice if you missed it last time. Includes various Overlord, DIRT, and Operation Flashpoint games, and Rise of the Argonauts, all for about 3.50 (or more if you want).

Just bought. First time I've only paid a dollar but I only want rise of the Argonauts so think that's a fair price for such an old game.

Proceeds going to the Prince's Trust. Hasn't Prince Charles' name been brought up in recent nonce news? Quite possibly TVoJ has just saved a child.

Not sure of a better thread to ask this question so here goes:

My girlfriend bought the most recent Divinity game for me as a gift on Steam but she delayed the sending of the gift to me to today (my birthday) and now it seems to be stuck and she can't actually send it through to me. Anyone had similar problems, any solutions?

@Mr_Sleep how do mean.. stuck? It should be there under Manage Gifts and Guest Passes (and not in her library?)

I will have to check with her to make proper sense of it but apparently she can't send it to me as it just doesn't work. I should probably go and have a proper look and see what it does and get back to you.

Edit: Apparently she receives and error when trying to send it to me. Had a look at the forums and apparently it's not an uncommon problem so she has started a ticket but apparently Steam are pretty terrible at getting back to people about this sort of thing. Their customer service does seem pretty crap from what has been read.

They take their sweet time, but if it's a common problem hopefully they'll sort it. I just bought a gift of Divinity and the guy gifted me it without issues (through the trade window, will that work?).

That is an interesting idea, could work that we trade stuff and get it that way. I'll have a look later. Cheers.

Christ it's cheaper than a pack of chewing gum, just give it a go :)

Seriously though I got it in a bundle a while back but only played a bit of it so far. Very low budget affair but seems OK. The water in it is awesome.

@bad09 I like trucking. I like trucking and I like to truck.

I already have Euro Truck Sim 2 though. Anyone know if the other games in the bundle are any good?

I bought that bundle in the Steam Sale. The other games aren't really as good as ETS2. They're most superseded in quality by ETS2 (IMO of course), though Trucks and Trailers is worth a look as it's more about smaller challenges than open road trucking. Bus Driver is alright and more of a game than a simulator.

Still, if you haven't got the Go East expansion I'd still recommend the bundle for that.

Thanks, I haven't got the expansion, so I might go for the bundle once I've taken a closer look.

So Dynasty Warriors is on sale, is it just me or has it been the same guy on the cover of every Dynasty Warrior(S) ? Where's the secondary warrior to make it plural?

    @urban

Lu Bu ate the others for breakfast. No seriously, he counts for like... 12 people. He's the royal plural all by himself.

Some ok deals here. Just bought the early access version of Road Redemption. Pretty impressed with it. As good as a remake of Road Rash I think we'll ever see. Lots of fun :)

Is Back to the Future worth $2.49?
  • Deleted user 25 July 2014 16:52:56
Hell yes. Telltale captured the look and feel brilliantly. When the story is done, there is this really throw away scene, but other then that. It's good fun.

    www.thejourneydown.com

The devs are selling the first and second chapter of Journey Down for $6 (about 4.50). When the second chapter launches on Steam, in exactly one month, it will cost $9 by itself. Also, by preordering, half the profits will go to charity.

I quite liked the first chapter, a throwback to old adventure games but with some interesting african aesthetics. It was good enough that I'm willing to preorder, especially for a discount.

Also, since I already had the first chapter, I now have an extra key for that. I can give it to someone who's interested.
