    I think that might be it as far as downloadable games are concerned in the sales. Bought enough already :)

    @BeardedGamerUK

    See, you say that now, but Steam's sale doesn't end until the 3rd Jan...

    I said that after the last sale a few weeks back. And I've bought more in this sale than the last...

    Just bought Gone Home, Spelunky, Star Wars Battlefront 2 and Dark Souls : Prepare to Die edition, all for the princely sum of 15.31. I love Steam sales.

    (I'd have to admit I already own Dark Souls on PS3, but at 3.99 they were virtually giving it away).

    Only problem that some might have with Dark Souls is that it's tied to GFWL.

    Still a ruddy good bargain though at that price, especially when you consider it comes with the expansion.

    I've nearly bought Anno 2070 on a number of occasions but always shied away, now it's a fiver and I'm still hesitating . . .

    @HitchHiker

    It's decent. Approach it as something more akin to a halfway-house between a traditional RTS and something like The Settlers.

    Ubisoft can fuck off with their DRM on it though, seriously. You need UPlay.

    I have it but am yet to get stuck in - I can't see the UI from across the room and am getting the feeling that I'd probably prefer playing this one on a laptop.

    Important for Dark Souls - http://blog.metaclassofnil.com/?tag=dsfix - the unofficial patch that makes the PC port not-so-shit :)

    that isn't the DSfix that means you have to play the game offline is it? One of them used to force you offline and that would be robbing you a big part of the experience, just for more pretties. :p

    No, you can still play online with it. Enabling some options might get your account flagged, but they're far from necessary.

    I had to reset my Steam password and I can't put any trading cards in the marketplace until New Years Eve! Just means I'll have a whole load of the bloody things to get rid of it in 4 days time :D

    Is any of the DLC worth a punt? I'm inherently adverse to the stuff but if it adds anything of substance I might reconsider.
    The base game is mighty enjoyable as far as I'm concerned - thank goodness for a contemporary builder game that is not Sim City - so I'm open to the option...

    Dont Starve is currently 95p - probably a pricing error (92% reduction).

    Has anyone played Prison Architect and would recommend it? Been on my radar for a while but 20 seemed a bit much, 10 sounds a bit better, but no idea what has been added to it the past few months

    Just looking at the update history now - looks like it's regularly supported with new builds. That said, now it's two years old and in Alpha 15 I'd hope Introversion would announce a proper "beta" date. Not willing to shell out until I get a better timeline to a finished product (could still be a year+ away if it's not even in Beta yet)

    It's ok. I don't play it that often but I do usually come back every month or so to see what's new. They update the game regularly. The best sim type game I've played in a while, although there isn't much competition.

    Cool, might wait for the Summer Sale to come round before getting it then. Cheers

    Don't Starve is back up to 4 now.

    It's well worth checking Steam bang on the sale refresh time, there's always pricing errors - often when the proper discount hasn't yet been applied but sometimes when they've over-discounted something.

    Got Sleeping Dogs for less than a quid last year this way and just done the same with Don't Starve.

    Early access sales are weird. These games are going to be worthless when they're finished. If they're finished.

    Games are pretty much worthless anyway. They might as well start their inevitable devaluation early.

    Bugger... clicked through and purchased Don't Starve at 95p (didn't desperately want it, but at that price...) the store errored after I clicked confirm, and now I have a gift copy of Don't Starve and my account is 4.07 lighter.

    Seeing if I can get a refund. But if not does anyone fancy a gift swap with Far Cry: Blood Dragon (as that's exactly the same price)?

    I've spent nearly a hundred quid already, mostly on gifts to try and broaden my friends gaming horizons.

    Bloody waste!

    I've ONLY bought Lego Lord of The Rings. Trying to not over-spend! I tend to buy things and never play them. I still have about five games from last year's sale that I haven't touched.

    Anyone know if it's possible to change the currency back to GBP? Steam wants me to pay in USD, and while the FAQ says they accept payments in both currencies I can't see anything saying how to switch back!
