Square Enix has a Christmas Surprise box for sale.

Interesting. 4.99 in the Queens currency probably isn't bad. It's a shame you only find out what's in it on the 20th. I wonder if it's definitely the same bundle for everyone? I'd assume so as that'd be far easier to organise and sell, but it's not entirely clear.

Still, I'm tempted just in case there are a Final Fantasy or 2 in there. I think most of the guesses on the last page will be close enough too. Sleeping Dogs has been really cheap, yet could now count as 20 of their promised 50 value. Given they're 4 Squenix games though, they have to be worth 1.25 each, surely?

I'd kick the living daylights out of the producers of Tipping Point - Ghandi

Another GOG sale day today, and they've got Wing Commander: Prophecy for US$1.99. Don't forget to "request" a Daily Surprise Offer, just in case something good comes up.

Gamersgate's Holiday sale has updated with this week's deals, but they all seem to be repeats, except for a few further pence off the Dungeons & Dragons Anthology: Master Collection. That's Planescape: Torment, Baldur's Gates 1 & 2 & expansions, and Icewind Dales 1 & 2 & expansions for 3.74 (you can mod those Baldur's Gates to make them far superior to the recent rehashes!).

Amazon have the Civ V expansion Brave New World for US$9.99, too.

Apparently Valve have run out of Steam keys for Fable 3 after the last sale and MS are refusing to supply them with any more because GFWL was an utter failure that is going to be canned soon meaning MS don't give a shit about PC gaming any more now that they had their arses handed to them by Steam.

This may be worth noting because it could effect other GFWL-gimped titles similarly in the future.

MS are rapidly turning into the shitest games company ever.

They stopped being a games company at some point soon after the RRoD disaster.

No it won't. Other companies will do what they have been doing, patch it out.

You have to remember for MS in their latest attempt to pretend they give a shit PC gaming is now basically Windows 8. Anything coming from them will be windows 8 and the other OS do not exist (MGS even refer to PC gamers as "windows 8 users" when talking of new stuff coming) so as fucked up as that is it's no surprise MS are being arsey about games that will run on versions of windows that are not 8.

Doesn't surprise me they're pushing that unintuitive piece of shit. It appears to have been made with zero input from actual users, like everything they've done recently.

An utter nightmare to use compared to Win 7 which just fucking works and makes sense.

    @huh_what

As disgusting as it is I can understand their desperation. All the light users are dropping PCs for tablets and that's got them shit scared and they are using anything they can to try and get us to an OS we don't need.

It's gonna make me ignore MS products completely (and hopefully if support improves move to linux once I do need a new OS) but I do understand their desperate thinking.

For the next seventeen hours or so, Europa Universalis IV is $9.99 on the HumbleBundle Store

EU IV is a cracking deal based on the reviews I've read but I've had Civ 5 sitting unplayed in my Steam library for about 3 years now so I've a feeling this would suffer a similar fate.
I will probably cave in and get it though. I am weak.

That is outrageous value. Well stuck into Crusader Kings II at the mo so this is a definite purchase. Merry Xmas me!! That's the third game I've bought myself this month though... :/

Is EU4 a lot better than 3? I couldn't get into 3 at all but I generally like strategy games like that

I never played 3 but found the tutorials to be pretty good to give you a nice starting point. Playing through a short game then covers off most other stuff. The UI has a lot of tool tips to explain most stuff.

By all accounts this is much much better than was previously offered.

The only slightly baffling bit is trade, which I still don't think I've got a full handle on.

Personally, try the demo on Steam. I really liked it but it's one of those things you're going to have to learn as you play rather than do a couple of brief tutorials and have the entire thing mastered.

Trade still confuses the hell out of me.

Don't forget Steam will be starting the Christmas download sales season tomorrow. TBH I've been finding others cheaper than Steam lately (especially GMG) but either way bargains a plenty from tomorrow until the new year. Merry Christmas fellow cheapskates! :)

Humble store has a short (think it's 8 hours) sale on just now

    https://www.humblebundle.com/store

Gone home for $5, Euro Truck 2 for $6.24 and Shadow Warrior for $10 seem like pretty good deals

I think the sales leak stated prices will be the same as the most recent sale but maybe there will be more deals on offer for this one.

    @vijay_UK

Well the the last one was right and both dates came together. Given it's the 19th and the Thursday before Christmas it's a cert. Dunno about the other sites though Humble have started though as dudefather says.

Anyone biting on Euro Truck look out for cheap DLC and don't forget the Winter mod. Perfect for Christmas.

And there is a MP mod coming. 'Cause we got a little ol' convoy.... :p

Eurotruck 2 with trackir and g27 used to be my guilty little secret but it seems everyone has now succumbed to its charms.

So, loud and proud: I fuckin' love Eurotruck 2 =)

Only thing I'm actually after is Saint's Row 4 in this Steam Sale. 230 games on my steam list and I only ever seem to play CS:GO- need to actually not buy much this time and get cracking on with my ungodly amounts of backlog.

...I'll undoubtedly cave in and buy a few things though ;)

What are the chances of recently released games such as dayz and starbound having slight discounts in these Christmas sales?

    Slim right?

They might get a 10 or 15% discount which will come out at a couple of bucks off at the most.
