    SavyGamer Bundle

5 brilliant indie games. Featuring the face-meltingly colourful arena shooter Death Ray Manta, the underwater papercraft chomp-'em-up Derrick the Deathfin, the super techie turn-based tactics game Frozen Synapse, the dark and brooding adventure Richard & Alice and the mind-bending puzzler SpaceChem.
Not a bad selection for around, I presume, 5 (it's showing as 7.38 for me.)

    Go on then.
Minimum price is 6.20, which is fair enough for Frozen Synapse and SpaceChem, both of which are great. I haven't played any of the others.

The minimum price may be a bit too high, given that Frozen Synapse and Space Chem are, I think, a couple of years old now. I've always thought that the Humble bundle should set a minimum price to at least cover their costs because judging by comments on some forums there really are a not insignificant number of people people who only pay a cent.

Says $14.99 on GOG for me. Was this a really short-term offer?

I posted it yesterday morning when I visited GOG. No idea how long the deal was on before that.

It isn't a game but I would be more than happy to punch all the naysayers in their narrow-minded faces and claim it for our medium. If your cold, cynical gamer's heart can still feel joy and delight in a beautiful sunset or a walk in the woods, I have no doubt that you will appreciate Proteus.

Proteus is pay what you want at indiegamestand. It isn't a game. It is unique and a joyous achievement of vision and execution. It is worth at least a couple of your pounds.

I didnt get it. But then I did have a go at it right after a few rounds of Battlefield 3, so my bloodlust was probably up. Looks worth another go, though.

I didn't get Proteus either. There was no gameplay, but the biggest problem is that the sense of exploration and wonder is shite compared to Minecraft. Some people say the sound is excellent but it's not really enough to maintain my interest.

I enjoyed Proteus for a while. I disagree with FutileResistor about it being worth a couple of pounds. I'd say somewhere between 1.10 and 1.19 ought to cover it.

I loved Proteus, headphones on and lights off, it was a great experience. Theres probably only an hour or two of gameplay in it but its definately worth a couple of quid imo.

Putting this in here, and I apologise if it has been posted elsewhere. There's an Intel Grid 2 giveaway for Steam codes on Facebook. I've just won a copy despite the giveaway app being a bit broken.

It plays a video of in game footage, pausing at various intervals and you have to click the three objects shown at the top of the screen in the video window. Easy enough except today the video was pausing on bits that in no way matched what they were asking me to find so it involved clicking where I thought said items should be. Each bad click adds time to your clock and at the end of it you get a race time result. I think they're giving 100 Steam codes away every day.

Where would that be? It's showing as 50% off on Steam (4.99 in my currency).

If you have Bioshock 2 on GFWL or disc or anywhere non-Steam, you can now redeem that key on Steam and it includes Minerva's Den. I imagine if you already own it on Steam, Minerva's Den has been automagically added..?

Humble Weekly includes Supreme Commander + expansion, The Guild 2, Red Faction: Armageddon and Neighbours from Hell for $1 (no Steam key on Neighbours, but after it's greenlit and on Steam we should be given them retroactively).

$6 or more gets you Darksiders II, Arcania, Painkiller: Blah and Spellforce 2. IMO, Arcania is slow and dull and Painkiller has dated terribly. Darksiders II is worth the $5, but don't we all already have it..?

Xcom: Enemy Unknown has a free weekend on Steam. If you still haven't played one of last year's best games, now's your chance.

Pro tip. You want to get as many satellites up as quickly as you can and engineers > scientists

And it's 7.50 should you decide to buy.

Reinstalled the game to check this out, it has indeed been added. Strange that they're offering a discount for it when it's being given out for free.

Borderlands 2 Season Pass is on sale at Gamersgate for 9.99. Says Mac only but it's a Steam key for a Steamplay game so works for Windows too (Just done it myself!).

    Bought.

Rogue Legacy, FTL and Binding of Isaac are some of the most fun I've had with PC games in quite a while and this has been on the wishlist for quite some time.

Loving rogue-likes at the moment; makes me wonder how I never played one up until now!
