I have done exactly this, but for my own selfish, nefarious purposes.

It's not as earth-shatteringly amazing and life changing as some of the more gushing reviews would make out, but I thoroughly enjoyed it.

At half price, if it gets the votes, it's a no-brainer. Some very clever game mechanics in there, and a distinct style.

I'm being serious. Definitely give it a try for the price, but be aware that lots of people find its combat system completely awful. :D
I'm in this camp. Witcher 2 is such a fucking waste of a good game, in my opinion. I mean they make this wonderful world and story and shit then some retard implements one of the shittiest control schemes of this gen. Utter bullshit.
There is that dev unofficial combat mod that exists now though.

I paid the full price for it and am more than happy to have done so. So at that price, I'd say it's a no brainer.

I keep meaning to look this up...where do you get it from?

Or I could just Google it, couldn't I...

Here you go for anyone interested....

It was for me. I spent yesterday only around 2 hours with it, just exploring the mechanics by building and launching some outrageous rocket designs. All I managed was to propel them along various parabolas back to Kerbin, no orbit for me yet. Although once I did launch poor Bill Kerman into an eccentric orbit around the sun...

A good game even in its current "early access" state but definitely needs a large time investment.

I agree, I don't know if the K+M controls are bad but on a 360 pad they were absolutely fine for me. The combat system was revamped from the first game for the better I would say.

I think Fallout NV is probably the best game ever made.
Heh, totally opposite for me. I found NV really wooden and hard to get into. Tried two or three times but the storyline doesnt grab me at all, and the characters are boring and irritating.

I'll have to five the KBS demo another go, I think I rushed through it last time. It does sound like an intriguing game though.

Still undecided on The Witcher 2. Do you need to have played the first game to understand the story?

I'm just starting Chapter One (I guess the previous 3 hours were a prologue) of Witcher 2 and I'm picking it up OK.

So you play a mutant called Geralt who is a "Witcher" which is some kind of Monster Hunter. He's lost his memory after dying and being brought back to life (at the beginning of the first game?). He's sleeping with a woman called Triss who is a sorceress, and is who brought him back from death in the first place.

    They work for a king.

I'm OK going with that so far :)

Well, bought Hotline Miami finally. I'd like to say it's great, but I get some crappy error message on starting and there's no sound! What a crock of shit.

@Cadence Shame, the soundtrack is one of the main reasons I bought it. You should definitely try and fix that before carrying on, if you can.

Try restarting your computer. I had exactly the same thing after installing it. A quick restart fixed the problem.

thanks guys, yeah i did a restart but same problem. Seems quite a few others have had the same issues, with varying levels of success at resolving it! I really wanted to listen to the soundtrack as well, it's supposed to be great.

@Cadence For some reason the music in Hotline Miami worked for me through my headphones but not through my monitor speakers (or vice versa, I can't remember now) so maybe changing the output you use would fix the problem?

    @Cadence

Had this problem for the first time the other day after having the game for months - I got round it by simply verifying the game cache.

    Hope it helps
